Hmmm i'm a bit confused over this... whether anyone thinks it was a foul or not, the ref thought it was a foul, so got his card out and sent him off.
A foul is still a foul, and is punishable even if the ball is out of play.
So it's irrelevant that the ball had actually gone out of play.The two players involved felt it WAS still in play, and even if the lino indicates it had gone over the line, the ref still felt the 2nd yellow was deserved, so i think the Russian lad was extremely lucky, and i'm not sure on what grounds the ref reversed the card decision... to my mind it should have been a 2nd yellow and a goal kick.
