I dont support terrorism. Im giving you the reason for the attacks? Whether you agree is neither here nor there, but when the perpetrator of a crime actually explains to you why they did it, I think it makes better sense to listen to them and try and figure out a solution, rather than declaring the attack is an attack on the western way of life, which is clearly not true. We now have people in England imagining that 911 was an attack on them. We have people declaring war on Islam because they dont want Sharia law in the UK when there is already sharia law for domestic and some civil cases. The same as the Jewish faith in the UK enjoys however the actual occurrance of it, and how it affects the other 95 percent of the country is laughable. The reason I said that terrorism doesnt happen without reason, is because ive heard people come up with such bollocks about it. The reasons put forward ive heard are..jealous of our way of life ...for example......im so fecking jealous, im going to blow myself to pieces. For somebody to willingly kill themselves suggests to me, that they are doing it for a reason.
I can think of examples of American sponsored terrorism. The VietMinh, armed by the Americans, who later came back to bite the Americans in the arse as the VietCong, The Contras ..trained and armed in American bases to commit terrorism...The Mujihadeen, later formed itself into the Taliban, trained, and paid to fight Russians..Right wing Cubans trained and armed in Florida to attack Cuba.
America has been quite big in the terror business.

Not trying to be argumentative, but reading that...something doesnt sound right.. he thought he was meeting Al qaeda, he thought he was doing survellance for Al Qaeda etc etc...public were in no danger as monitored from the beginning? So, he met and planned with people, but only the one arrest of people monitored from the beginning? so who were the people he was dealing with, and if the people he thought were Al Qaeda were the American secret service, do they really have to perform that sort of sting?

Yeah, but we have been discussing events that have two levels..factual, and bullcrap..
I saw with my own eyes bin laden albeit subtitled broadcast stating the reasons for the attack on 911.
How should I change my mind about that?
If the man who committed the crime tells me via a world broadcast the reason he committed the atrocity, what should I change my view to exactly?

Funny for about 75% of the time. No moral story, no underlying message. Passes some time. Saw RED today with Willis/Malkovich/Mirren and it was good - worth paying for. Disengage brain and watch. Looking forward to Gnomeo and Juliet, also the Pegg/Bodysnatcher film. Another Pegg film was trailed about an alien (Paul?) which looked OK as well.
4Lions - It's worth renting or downloading, but not paying to go to watch!

Sorry Bushy. Too tired to argue tonight. Had plenty of that at the pictures. A group of "disadvantaged" youngsters - about 20 - were taken there are part of a local council initiative (read: get them off the streets). They spent four minutes behaving like wankers, the person in charge was useless. I had one minute of threatening to disembowel the little fuckers if they interrupted the film that I had paid to watch and then all was fine. I even got clapped for my foul mouthed tirade (I didn't use the c-bomb!). I'm all for supporting the disadvantaged but not when it impinges on something I am doing, or that I have paid for. And human-like behaviour costs nothing.
Been a traumatic half term to be honest - went to watch the Great South Run at the weekend and some poor old bastard starting coughing up blood then had a heart attack in the spectators behind me. As the nearest mug with training I ended up helping the poor bastard shuffle off the mortal coil. Forgot what a mess it makes when you do a chest compression on someone who has had a lung haemorrhage...thought I had left all that blood, snot and shit behind me. And I really can't think of a worse place to die than on Portsmouth Hard.
So yes, I am ever so slightly tired and confrontational. More so than usual. I am sure that you can take over - unless the conspiracy theorists put in an appearance and we go back to the twin towers being taken down with 120 foot long paper darts loaded with Lynx aerosol cans....
Plus point - there was a Down's Syndrome guy working at the pictures, and for some reason my missus provokes two reactions - they either want to kill her or tell how lovely she is. We got reaction (2) tonight - I had to go for a piss to stop laughing as he cornered her and told her she was a "pretty lady". About 50 times until his supervisor came and took over!
Have we banned Christmas yet?
