No because they are shit. Put my monthly fee up from £150 to £499 during first lockdown but managed to negotiate it back to £300. When its your business website they have you by the balls

Not only that but they even had the cheek to say my site was out of date and had lots of design faults (They built it in late 2017). Just another 5k and they would sort it!!

Personally I would try download it again and reinstall it, running the installation package as administrator

Uninstall the existing one first (add remove programs). I am assuming here that there is no data in the existing local database

I think its from this page.

Their tech support really should be advising here I would hate to be giving you bad or wrong advice.

It sounds like the installation isnt right. Your environment is pretty much the same as mine and it works ok for me (though I cant link it up to a site or anything)

Part of the install process is downloading and installing a SQL Express 2012 though it should do that automatically. You also get an option to migrate an existing database should you wish (that would be the one in your office)
I also saw that they advise against running the software from multiple machines to the same website. I suspect this might be to do with having multiple copies of a database on separate machines

Thanks but have already reinstalled as administrator etc. I clear and reset the database after every use. My website has 10k products and I don’t want to hold the database on Dataplug as I would need to use it every time I just wanted to change a price or a bit of wording which is quicker and easier to do from the back office.

I dont use dataplug that often but have just brought in 150 new products which is easier to upload with pics via dataplug. Looks like I will just have to take a trip to my office now I have the spreadsheets ready to upload but its not too far thankfully.

I would just uninstall the office one and hope I could then load it on at home successfully but thats a bit risky as originally the office copy stopped working once I had replaced W7 with W10. For some strange reason it now works on the office again but I havent a clue why it would do that.

Thanks for all the suggestions but hopefully I will crack it eventually, maybe when they get someone in tech support who can understand the problem!
