EPL: Stadiums

With our upcoming new stadium set to be one of the very best in the land, it got me thinking if the EPL was just based on football stadiums which 20 would you choose?? Doesn't have to be the biggest in terms of capacity, or swankiest, just all round the twenty best football grounds in England??

For me:

Old Trafford
Emirates
Anfield
Goodison
St James' Park
Sunderland SOL
White Heart Lane
Upton Park
St Marys
Riverside Stadium
Pride Park
Walkers Stadium
Falmer
Villa Park
Ricoh Arena
Goodison Park
Stamford Bridge
Eastlands
DW Stadium
Reebok Stadium

Why not remove 2 from St Marys, Pride Park and Walkers as they're all cookie cutter replicas of each other.

And I prefer the KC Stadium to all of them.

St Marys / Riverside / Walkers are all carbon-copy identikit stadiums straight out of the box, they'd be nowhere NEAR my top 20. In fact I'd have London Road comfortably above any of those. And you've clearly, basically, just gone for the swankiest / EPL grounds. Very little imagination in those choices.

Can't be arsed to do 20, but I'd certainly have Portman Road, Hillsborough and The Valley in there.

Indeed, it's a poor wind up. Any top 20 should feature The City Ground and Craven Cottage, IMO.

It's not a wind up at all, it's a topic for debate. Otherwise why would I have Goodison in there?? It's hardly a shiny new stadium, and I've hardly gone for all the EPL stadiums.

As an aside, how high up would Falmer be?? In temrs of design only perhaps the Emirates would beat it, although it will not have the history or atmosphere of an Old Trafford or Anfield.

St Mary's above falmer?

Boring design (common), one tier basic, easy stadium.

Is it a wind up?

Sorry, I didn't do them in order, just the twenty I'd pick.

one advantage st james' park (newcastle, not exeter) has over basically every decent stadium in the country is it's location

it's pretty much in the city centre, and therefore a piece of piss to get to AND it's got loads of cracking pubs a stones throw away
