Looked off the pace a bit, and wasnt getting close enough to whoever he was meant to be marking but grew into it minute by minute. The coaches seemed to be giving him some feedback during an injury stoppage and was much better after that. Takes a while to get used to the PL.

Wonder whether this was the moment to introduce him TBH, maybe Moder should have got the nod ahead of him as experience when battling to see out a game against a tough team

Mwepu looked a real player against Luton pre season.
Yes, it was only a friendly, and only Luton.
But there was enough there to show he is not shit. Not least a beautiful goal.

In all seriousness, having been around football all my life I never have heard it - possibly minimally as it rang a bell. Coaches and sayings I guess. Just ‘get tight’ is the usual expression for me (assuming that’s what it means) but horses for courses.

I'm with you, 25 years following football, never heard of touch tight.

I bet Enock left the pitch yesterday thinking he'd be hit by a steam train.
The game was as frenetic as Newcastle v The Leeds but with the skill button turned on.

Anyone extrapolating anything from his performance has an odd take on the words 'fan' and 'supporter'.

Given the first PlayStation was released in 1994, when you were about 13, I'd say it IS a PlayStation generation thing!

To clarify, when I say PlayStation generation I mean kids who’ve grown up on FIFA playing online against people etc and using nauseating language to wind up the opposition.
