Touch tight is pretty standard football parlance to be fair.
Yep, very common terminology when talking about defensive positioning.

A player with a much better pedigree than our lad. The PL is played at a very fast pace, Gross has said he got caught out by it, Davy P struggled for a good while, Trossard is finally looking consistent in his third season, Biss took time and we need to give Mwepeu time not slate him after a handful of minutes in the PL.
Takes a while to get used to the PL.
Agree with that 100%Wonder whether this was the moment to introduce him TBH, maybe Moder should have got the nod ahead of him as experience when battling to see out a game against a tough team
True, but I’m approaching 40 and have used it for decades, it’s certainly not a PlayStation generation thing.

In all seriousness, having been around football all my life I never have heard it - possibly minimally as it rang a bell. Coaches and sayings I guess. Just ‘get tight’ is the usual expression for me (assuming that’s what it means) but horses for courses.
I'm with you, 25 years following football, never heard of touch tight.

Not really luck, he's only 23 and already been capped for Spain.

Nothing like giving the lad a chance.
Given the first PlayStation was released in 1994, when you were about 13, I'd say it IS a PlayStation generation thing!
