Wouldn't be an England team if they didn't make it a nervous watch! They were under the cosh a lot but gave everything - roll on Japan on Wednesday! :D

It's nice to see an England football team play like a proper unit with genuine team spirit, arguably we haven't seen this since the Three Lions of '96 with Gazza, Shearer et al.

As a devout sexist and all-round bigot, I for one am appalled.

How dare this 'team' provide more excitement and commitment than the real, rugged men, football team?

My bible will be receiving a severe bashing about this.

Wednesday is Canada day, as I'll be a token English presence I'll be needing to find a suitable watering hole downtown Ottawa to watch. Bring it on!!

They totally outplayed Australia and hilarious to see two arms up from players on their goal line when Japan finally scored appealing for off-side

Yes, made me laugh too. Not really much else to do though, clutching at straws.

Perhaps those Australian women could explain the offside rule to you two.....

Sure didn't look it from where I was sitting, but I stand corrected.

Still think their claims were more from desperation rather than an accurate reading of the situation though. They just happen to be right...... typical bloody women :)

Great result, did themselves and the country proud. I watched the first half but fell asleep for the second. Will need to practice more for semis

1-2 As it looked, not a bad match, some thinking in defence is required instead of the usual hump it...quite often they hoofed it ,it hit one of our players and fell to the Canadians who took snap shots. But all in all, well done girls...tough match next...Japan,good luck.

It'll be a big old F U if these ladies do progress, the pittance they earn compared to those wankers that stroll about for the men's teams, shaking my head.
How many women's games have you watched in the last few WCs, and how many men's? I'm guessing you watch the men a lot more, so men get paid a lot more, regardless of how annoying they are.
