The time wasting already from the West Indies is embarrassing.

I think what did for Woakes with that no ball was when they showed the other angle, you could see a little tiny bit of white behind his heel.

It's the principle behind it, how much leeway would be fair, a Foot, a Yard? Where does it end? You have to have a defined line otherwise a batsman would have virtually no time to get in to position to play the ball.... Says a medium pacer who bowled Off and Leg Cutters.

The point of the question is why wouldn't you just get into the habit of bowling a few inches short of the line if there is no real advantage?

Says one of the world's worst Off Spinners who specialised in Wides... :lolol:

You can just tell the commentators are trying not to say anything about Cornwalls running.

Saying that, I think I just felt a small tremor or Earthquake....

Its the same in many sports, lots get pushed to a fine line literally between legal or illegal. Things like Long Jump , Shot Put, goal lines in footy and lines in Tennis... I think in Cricket its the art of releasing the ball as close as possible to the batsman in such a way that they have less time to read the delivery that is being bowled.

I think there may be a very small advantage to doing this, but it becomes one of Clive Woodward's " Marginal Gains " whereby you do lots of little things in your game a couple of percent better in order to lift your whole game 10 %. ...... well, that's my theory !

When he fumbled that catch at slip yesterday and went down on his belly i'm sure the camera wobbled a little.

What the hell are England going to do when Anderson and Broad retire?

They're never quite the same when those two aren't bowling. Archer and Wood are effective in bursts but can't keep it up for a whole series

It's a rather bare cupboard otherwise

197 all out, lead by 172. Get a quick fire 150 and put them back in this evening? Whole day looks like going tomorrow so gives us the evening and a day to bowl them out?

A masterclass there from Broad as he mops up the whole of the tail. What a world class cricketer he is.

Yep, England now have to get a run a ball 150 then declare and back their bowlers to get the job done.

Root appears to have his cautious head on as he has sent out the two normal openers. I might have sent out Stokes & Buttler (or even Stokes & Broad!)

Try to get a solid base and press on when the opening bowlers are tired and the ball a bit older.
Can't see the Windies getting over 250 on this current wicket.
