thats for Capello to rise above it, all we have to do is qualify and thats half his job done.

But the media will make his job unmanageable (spl) after all, we are England we should be play flair football, we invented the game....

I'll take "dull but effective" if it sees us winning games and delivering when it matters.

Trying to play entertaining, flashy football under McClown and SGE didn't exactly fill up the trophy cabinet, did it?

Early days yet, but I will too.

Problem is thought we're not used to winning games in that manner, meaning there's going to be a lot of people 'bored' by it. Especially when they are paying £50 to watch

It was so boring that I was actually starting to fall asleep infront of the tv

Expect England to score one more and then we'll be "world-beaters" again acording to the tabloids.

Indeed. It was impossible to get the message through that we were not using these memberships tonight and they could be resold. I gave up in the end because I don't have time to phone everyone connected to the English FA for the sake of a few tickets. I told three different people (all who failed to process this information blaming everything from a system failure to being new in the job) we did not want to use them and my husband is there tonight, sat beside the seats we are not using and they are empty.

Why didnt you just sell them yourself??

I like the idea. Keep possession. go forward if you can, sideways or backwards if you can't. Pass the ball to each other on the ground. When oppotunity arises score goal. Some players will be able to do this, some wont. Capello will get rid of those that can't.

how does Brown get into the squad, definate weakness? Jenas as pointed out isnt a complete midfielder but then with Barry holding you can afford the luxury of a attacking midfielder and certainly took his goal well.

I wonder how long it will take for Capello to work out what we already know, that Rooney own his own up front doesnt work so well as he's prone to come deep to find the ball (cant fault his workrate).

And both we and the crowd is going to have to get used to the ball being passed back and around for the sake of possesion rather than constant pump the ball forward and losing it, you cant score if you dont have the ball.

He was coming in on it 4 yards out. If he'd attacked it rather than try and control it he'd have scored.

Hmm, suppose.

Probably a confidence thing - although he's been playing well lately, he hasn't been scoring. Although having said that, a bloke with no confidence wouldn't try and dink one over the keeper from a wide angle!!

I'm suprised he's playing to be honest - Owen has been dropped for his lack of goals, it can only be Rooney's good team play that's kept him on the park.
