Funny that you mention those two bowlers, because they weren't playing (assuming we definitely are talking about the same day).

Magoffin, Robinson, Shahzad, and Garton were the seamers. Good attack on paper if they're anywhere near their best [they weren't].

Wasn't it the 2017/18 Ashes series where Duckett poured a pint over Anderson's head? I can sort of understand why Anderson would have been grumpy, the rest of England's bowlers were bloody hopeless on that tour.
Ah it was 2017 mate
Duckett made 193 against Archie and Jordan

Ah then it was the year after Sid.
2017 Duckett made 193 against Archer and Jordan

That bad blood was I think created in 2016 - Northants v Lancs at Wantage Road

That year I saw the young Archer (and some other bowlers presumably) get totally marmalised all over Trent Bridge by Riki Wessels after Magoffin took 5 wickets before going off injured.

They recovered from 180/7 to 447 all out in under 80overs. We lost well within 2days. It's fair to say the guy I was with who's from Nottingham enjoyed it more than I did.

We score fast, but would a decent test side have got 600 in two fulll days on this pitch against this bowling?
It's not a dead track and the bowling's good enough to create chances.

I think a batting team taking a more conservative approach would probably have let the West Indies bowlers settle more and would be more likely to have been bowled out for 250-300 than have ground out 600.

Wood bowling a tad quick this morning. Just hit 97.1mph. Screw batting against that for a game of soldiers 🙈

Hoping that Windies can make a game of this, but that batting lineup looks so brittle.

Holder has no business batting as high as 6..

Brainless batting.

Brathwaite aside, I cannot see where the runs come from in this WI team

Bloody close to being no balled on the McKenzie wicket. VAR would’ve taken 10 minutes to work that one out

Lunch, Day Two

West Indies 89-3, trailing by 327

A decent session for England on a hot day and a flat wicket.
