Dont think anybody can be surprised as West Indies are now hopeless at Test cricket and would think any County side would beat them
They won their last test at the Gabba and currently hold whatever the trophy we play them for is called nowadays.

Have been about as competitive when they visit England as we've been whenever we've gone to the West Indies for the last 20years or so.

Stokes cleaned up by Motie... middle stump out of the ground... dipped and turned past the inside edge.

Great ball.

Ben Stokes b Motie 4 (11b 0x4 0x6) SR: 36.36

254-5

He's done it again... Root played and missed at that one from Motie... clattered.

Joe Root b Motie 68 (114b 7x4 0x6) SR: 59.64

287-6, lead 166

Lunch, Day Two

England 293-6, lead 172

Smith 16*, Woakes 5*

28 overs, 3 wickets (Brook 50, Stokes 4 and Root 68) and 104 runs in the session.

The game is moving on at a pace... and Motie is finding some turn and bounce.

I assume that having picked Smith for a more attacking approach at 7, and particularly batting with the tail, England have deliberately put him in a position where he has to bat with the tail in his very first innings.

Woakes clips the new ball to deep square.... a bit unlucky. A third wicket for Seales.

Chris Woakes c Louis b Seales 23 (43b 4x4 0x6) SR: 53.48

England 339-7, lead 218
