The BBC website radio player is filtered at work. Anyone know of any sites that stream the TMS commentary?

The England batting is ridiculously strong. If at any point Strauss starts to fire we could post some huge totals. I really like Bairstow, Prior and Bresnan and 6, 7 and 8.

In other news, apparently Michael Owen isn't that interested in cricket.

Much as they used to regularly muller us, it's a sad time when you've never even heard of half the West Indies team. It would be good for cricket to see a strong WI side again (after this series, of course).

I fear you are wrong. He was signed up as a global ambassador for 20-20 cricket a few years back. It was by Allen Stanford, so not the most wise choice by Owen. However, I'm sure his imminent move to Brighton will be more successful.

Couldn't agree more. I watched a documentary film a few weeks ago on BBC 4 (I think) about the West Indies team of the mid 70's to Mid 90's. I'd forgotten exactly how good they were.

I think I saw that. Legendary names. Richards, Lloyd, Marshall, Garner, Holding, Haynes, later Ambrose, Lara and Walsh. Now when England play in the Caribbean some of the grounds are 80% full of English tourists on package holidays. Great for them to see I'm sure, but can't be doing the local game much good when your average Barbadian is priced out. Or when they don't have any real heroes to cheer on.

Fire In Babylon?

Brilliant film that.

Brilliant film that.

That was it! In that case, I did see it. Fascinating images of Britain in the early Eighties too...all that unrest and resentment set up against the impact made by the WI team on the British West Indian community.

Anderson gets Edwards, who looks distinctively like he'll be susceptible to the yorker/pitched up delivery.
