Call me uncharitable, but I really HATE this kind of drivel. I find it hard to fathom why anyone would pay money to watch a bunch of EastEnders, TOWIE tossers, the idiot Williams, crap comedians, retired England players and god knows who else play football. Good cause, I'm sure. But I'd actually pay NOT to go if someone gave me a ticket.

Maybe a bit uncharitable...! It's just a fun match organised by Robbie Williams & friends for charity.

I don't have an issue with the charity. I just can't stand Williams or his "famous only for being Robbie's mate" Wilkes.

And the inane celebrity culture surrounding it and everything else these days is a profoundly depressing reflection on the public.

I find these events cringeworthy. No dramas, I just don't watch them.

What I would like to see is these countries governments starting to take responsibility, and with the hundreds of millions of pounds raised do what they are doing now, but also start educating young adults in poorer countries about birth control.

I don't know how to put this, but if people keep bringing children in to this world without proper food, water your just adding to the poverty, it's a never ending circle. Adults and governments need to start taking responsibility.

It makes me angry and it makes me sad to see it.

i agree but alot of the children are brought into the world sadly by rape etc....

There is needed education but also better policing but policing shanty towns is almost impossible

I'm with you on this. To quote Frankie Boyle on Twitter "Watching Soccer Aid is making me Pro Famine"

This is better than watching the real England team. I'd rather have a few of these than Downing anyway!
