185 ahead.. still with 3 wickets in hand.. would not like us to chase more than 200...looks dodgy :censored:

My first visit to the Oval today - first thing I see when walking to my seat.....someone wearing an albion shirt! (near stairway 6)

It should be a fairly simple task to get the runs provided the batsmen go about the job in the correct manner as we have plenty of time and overs to win comfortably but this is England we are talking about.

48-0 off 16 overs, great start. Cricinfo complain it's cautious, seemingly forgetting that it's a test match

It'd be nice if Cook could turn a good start into a century, 'spect he'll go just after lunch though.

looks like a good performance just under 4 a over, I hope they can stay in after lunch and build up a bit of confidence

:jester:

1348 - WICKET - Cook c Smith b Ntini 67 - Eng 123-1 (31.2 overs)
Cook is back on the pull - as it were - as he makes Ntini disappear through mid-wicket. But less than a minute after my "gaffer" Oliver Brett says to me "of course, Cook famously always gets out in the 60s", he drives at Ntini and gives a regulation catch to Graeme Smith at first slip. Nice one, Brettmeister General.
