Mark Pougach [sp] is a Sussex lad.

I read an interview with him in a Sunday supplement, and his 'Earliest Sporting Memory' was 'being taken to the Goldstone to watch the Albion' by his old man.

He is indeed. I have played against him (I can't remember the name of the side he plays for, but it is not a league side). He keeps wicket.

I think that may have solved the question on who will make way for Flintoff in the 2nd Test. :bigwave: Collingwood

The only thing that worries me is that they may protect Collingwood because he's the one day captain. I really hope they don't though, he should definitely be the one to make way. Flintoff looks in a bit of batting form now as well.

I think Ambrose needs a score as well; he did pretty well (I think? don't have stats to hand) in the Tests, but was abysmal in the ODIs.

Collingwood MUST stay. How many times has he helped England out of a pickle batting with the lower order, England need to repay that by picking him now when he's going through a poor run of form.

Remember form is temporary but class is permenant.

Doesn't matter if it was out or not (and it obviously wasn't), but he was fighting against Bell for that spot and Bell's playing superbly. We've been winning without Collingwood contributing for the past year, so adding Flintoff will HUGELY better the team.

Just think, a mistake like that from Bowden puts Collingwoods place in the team in much more jeopardy, especially with Flintoff in fine form today.

He could lose his place in the test team, which could lead to his captancy in the one day team in question, he could then be dropped fromt eh one day team, and miss out on the stanford game and £500,000

All because Billy "look at me" Bowden made a wrong decision

Using your approach Colly should never have been picked.

I think england will continue with a 4 man bowling attack so either Broad or Anderson will drop out for Freddie. That would concern me a bit as it will require 20 overs per day from Freddie. However, Monty can be used in the same way that Warne was for Australia which meant they could play with a 4 man attack. Freddie to bat at 7 with Ambrose (or next WK given a try) at 8.

IMO I think you are being a bit harsh on Billy. Have not seen this Colly dismissal, but he made a great decision last night in giving KP not out on 92 (lbw from Harris' bowling), when a lot of other umpires would have given it - Bucknor and Coertzen spring to mind immediately.

Also think England should wait about bringing Flintoff back until after England have bowled - if they cannot bowl SA out twice then bring him back, otherwise leave team alone for now. Not that I am a great Colly fan, rather "never change a winning team" and all that.

Cannot see live feeds as Internet connection too slow - are the South Africans still looking pig sick?? I do hope so!!
