76 overs bowled in a day, with no rain interruptions, is a disgrace.

The cricket boards should really be clamping down on this: it wasn't that long ago that we saw 120 overs bowled in a day - the earliest Gillette Cup matches were 130 overs long. Punters are paying more and more for fewer and fewer overs

Reviews etc have added a bit of course and there’s insufficient encouragement for spinners from many English pitches but yes 100%

They have but shouldn't take out that much time (and they should be speeded up IMHO)

The Leach injury will have taken some time out of it, what was it about 10 minutes while they sorted him? That's a good 2-3 overs straight away. Add in the two overs for the change of innings and that makes 5 overs lost for reasons which couldn't be avoided. Most of the rest is fannying around on drinks breaks TBH, you might have lost a couple for the reviews / procession of wickets at times but a good 5 overs of that was just umpires not hurrying the game up. Fine them.

Although I doubt anyone leaving the ground yesterday would have felt short-changed on the action front.

Yep, given that we saw 17 wickets, a concussion injury, change of innings, no spin and reviews it does feel like some overs would be lost from the day's play. They were massively behind before lunch - the Warne tribute should have happened mid session rather than at lunch. But, at that point we'd already had the injury break and more wickets than anyone had thought possible.

Hope they're not planning a royal visit on Sunday...
