[Cricket] England v New Zealand - 1st Test - Lords 11.00am

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
No chance, unless these two can bat it out.

One wicket and the rest will go for less than 30.

Just been for a leisurely stroll with the mutt, 75 minutes later we've not lost a wicket and scored less than 40 runs. . It's like Boycotts out there. . . Needs must I guess.

Haven't listened to TMS for two whole days for ages - it's still quite addictive and entertaining isn't it. They have just been discussing the 'white, dove-like bird' that got hit. "Probably a dove" was the conclusion!

Yep. Root goes and it will be a walk in the park

Ridiculous that we rely on him so much.

Kane Williamson is their equivalent but he has failed twice in this game so other Kiwis stepped up to the plate.

Has been a great Test whichever way it goes, puts T20 into proper perspective...

Thread needs a bounce, 61 runs should be a walk in the park with Root in such good nick, but this is England of course...

If Root can get another 30 odd runs we should be able to drag ourselves over the line....but its almost equally likely he gets a firstballer and we clatter.

Weather conditions near perfect for a "shock" NZ win.
Either going to be fascinating session or all over inside 10 overs
