Sibley is absolutely painful, it’s fine to see off balls - that’s the job of an opener, but there has to be a point where you try to score and every time he does he gets out. The top 3 are a shambles, Crawley can’t defend and Burns and Sibley can’t attack

Still, as long as the Hundred makes lots of money, and a handful of ten year olds enjoy watching a few sixes get hit on TV, pissing away another Test series is a small price to pay.

Could they not just stick the Quavers logo on the front of the England shirts and give them some shitehouse Apprentice-style nickname to make the test series more entertaining?

England Synergy vs India Impact

I don't think there's much chance the Hundred is going to make loads of money sadly

Joe Root vs India

How predictable, shambolic batting in good conditions. Wonder what excuses people will make for this, India are better than us in our conditions.

Same old song.
It seems that many of the English batsmen are unable to switch from one day/ 20.20 to test matches.

It seems that every time we lose a wicket another one falls soon after. Rash shots over and over.

It is OBVIOUS we should only play Test Cricket in April and September, same as the 4 day County Game. I can't see India lasting long on an April greentop...

England 183 all out (65.4 overs, RR 2.78)

Root 64, Bairstow 29, Curran 27*, Crawley 27, Sibley 18, Extras 13, Broad 4, Anderson 1, Burns 0, Lawrence 0, Buttler 0 and Robinson 0... a pitiful effort winning the toss and batting first :nono:

Bumrah 4-46, Shami 3-28, Thakur 2-41, Siraj 1-48 :clap2:

Silverwood is a terrible coach. 5-0 in the winter if it goes ahead . Root and Butler test class. Anderson and Broad getting on but still world class the batting line up is a walking wicket. Crawley and Lawrence and Sibley should be no where near the test team.

7 wickets for 45 in 94 balls is a dismal effort. :nono:

A couple of wickets tonight might just be a crumb of comfort...

India bowled at the stumps, result was loads of wickets.

We bowl and I'm not sure one would have hit the stumps yet.
