England v Germany

England's second game at the redeveloped Wembley pitches them against Germany, who famously beat England in the last match at the old stadium. England will be seeking a strong performance to build confidence ahead of crucial Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Russia, though having won six games out of seven, Germany are virtually assured of qualification. Commentary comes from John Motson and Mark Lawrenson, with guests Alan Hansen, Alan Shearer and Ian Wright.

What on earth has someones lack of excitement over a B international friendly got to do with their support for the Albion?!?!

Have to agree... what if we all decided to give up on Albion because they bored us or we didn't like the manager?

Although judging by the empty seats on Saturday I'd say many of us have already.

Oh yes you can, it's all hype and disappointment, you won't catch me getting excited about England again until they start playing decent football. having said that I'm quite looking forward to tonight even if it is only a friendly

I didn't care about Albion's second XI match at QPR the other day either.

Is that bad too?

as Danny said - if we gave up on the Albion no one would go cos we often shit. Friendly international is still ENGLAND (the country where we live) so it's not just a 'pointless Friendly' or 'B' international - That's ridiculous.

U lot really sound like a bunch of Man U GLORY boys...

What has me not wanting to watch an England side got to do with supporting Brighton (something I've been doing a lot longer than you have I know) ? I already stated why I can't be bothered but I won't do it again as you're very easy to baffle obviously.

It's ~Albion and England forever int it?

Surely if ur clever enough to support the Albion (as ur local team) than u should support ur country through thick and thin...

Or do u support Brazil?

And u being an old fucker has nothing to do with my point what so ever

Ha! Tell that to the players (the ones left and the ones mysteriously absent), or the manager picking unfit players.

Tonight's game is meaningless. FACT.

I agree with what u say there apart from the meaningless bit cos it's national pride yeh?!! fit or unfit whatever team u put out is representing us at football...

I agree England have been very poor recently - doesnt mean i'll give up watching them like a glory supporter. You're right that they should put more effort in - like Alex Revel does for us...

It's not about England's performances (recently or otherwise), it's about the effort and commitment.

The multi-millionaire players don't give a shit about national football now - it's all about the clubs and, in particular, the Champions League.

Sad, but true.
