Will JFC, the invisible man in the eyes of the national media (has anyone seen him mentioned anywhere at all?), get to feature?

Can't imagine he'd be in the starting / strongest 11 but would be great if he played - some good youngsters in our squad - hope this will be a good tourno for them...

Didn't he do a bit on talk sport that was then reported in the papers? Under 21s not getting a huge amount of recognition anyway

Most of the 'likely line-ups' published in the papers don't include JFC. The 'I' for instance has Ward-Prowse and Chalobah doing the holding midfield.

Mind you, they've also got Berahino in the team, so perhaps not all that reliable a source!

We'll see. There's a reason he's no. 4

They were talking to him on SSN a few days ago.

Watching him play for the U-21's is like watching a different player. Maybe it's the ability of the players around him, maybe he feels more confident  but he looks very good for England.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he starts

U21s line-up v Portugal: Butland (c), Jenkinson, Moore, Gibson, Garbutt, Ward-Prowse, Carroll, Chalobah, Redmond, Kane, Lingard.

Forster-Caskey is on the bench.
