Good game. Portugal better technically (quelle surprise!) but we look very effective out wide. Liam Moore the weak link defensively. JFC could get on for Carroll who has done little - could go either way but can't see it ending scoreless

JFC to come on and change/win the game?

First row sports is showing it and it is fine apart from the score 0-1

Any reason why Bamford isn't in the squad? I assume there is...

Hopefully Kane stays injury free and some team is mad enough to fork out £50 million for him. He's been found out already and won't score 15 goals next season.

He had an ankle injury at the end of the season.

Last 60 seconds and they ramp up the tempo. Why wait

Possession football - pass it around among yourselves trying to look calm and unflustered and classy - then suddenly realise they've scored and you haven't and you ain't going to get anything out of the game unless you up the tempo and take a few chances.

It's something we seem to do quite a lot these days ................

Shame for England's sake he didn't play, as Carroll never got a touch, and Will Hughes when he came on, was appalling. Gave the ball away pretty much every time he touched it. The only worse player on the pitch was the full back Garbutt.

Brightest impact was from Pritchard in his late cameo. Looked very positive.
