Now, I don’t like to single out a player But there was one point in the game he stoped chasing the player with the ball. Had to ask people around me if he was injured but just seems he was invisible. RDZ to Barcelona, Ferguson to Man Utd, any player that plays well for 4 games to Chelsea. You need to look at yourselves tonight and don’t believe the hype.

Ferguson's value has plummeted due to his current form, I worry more about Pedro !

I’d suggest anyone thinking “the season is done” needs to stay away. This is exactly the sort of ‘mentality’ RDZ is talking about.

That was a couple of years ago. We’ve/I have moved on. Do you want to be mid table every year ? Would you be happy with that ? Be honest .

If we had 10 straight seasons finishing between 7th - 12th during which we continued to develop young talent and sell for a profit whilst playing entertaining football I'd be delighted.

Add a couple of cup runs/trips to wembley/matches in Europe we would've achieved well above our resources and I personally would love it.

Where we are now is fine - an average of mid-table, with occasional (like last season) better seasons. Yes, absolutely with our relative resources. Two years is NOTHING. You sound very impatient.

Far from impatient. Would rather be in the championship and challenging than mid table in the premier.

I think with our finances compared to other teams it will be interesting with ffp in the next couple of years. We’ll see. I’m 24 hours away from the Roma result so I’m back to being relatively normal

I agree with this. He scored a couple of worldies late last season and looked very good, he also started this season on fire. However I remember the first half of last season he was very hit and miss. Why can't our young players turn out for the U23s when they are returning from injury to gain fitness/sharpness?

Because we need him in the first team now....too many injuries, good idea and that's how modern was brought back.

Less than a month ago.

We’ve kept 3 clean sheets this calendar year. For comparison, Liverpool have 4 in that period and Manchester City 5 (both of whom have played a couple more games than us).

I agree , people think just because you have recovered from a serious injury that you are match fit ,
it takes time , I knew when people where going on about our players would be fit in February,
that it would take a couple of months to get match fit

In the same way that some people think you can bring in 2 or 3 players in January to ‘cover injuries’ ( some of which hadn’t even occurred yet) and they will instantly slot in and be brilliant. Generally, they’d also be players who’d not had regular football and would also need to get used to RDZ’s very specific and demanding system.

If you look at the way Igor, Fati and others have been eased in, his actual record - rather than his words - would suggest any signings would barely have made an impact yet. Chances are he’d still be saying they need to learn his system before they’re ready to be trusted. Maybe handy for the final push, but then Baleba would gain no experience while Enciso is back now, Veltman hopefully, Lamptey too, Pedro not far away fingers crossed. Doesn’t seem worth paying over the odds in Jan for that. Get the signings right in the summer.

It doesn't look worth it now, because of the consequences of not bringing people in.

In truth the club tried to get in 2 experienced players that were familiar with English football, because we needed reinforcements.
The deals didn't come off, but there was certainly an acknowledgement that we needed bodies in.

Agree it’s a shame they didn’t come off. I wonder why Roberto doesn’t mention it more often….

I think this is shown as well by the likes of Kalvin Phillips. People suggested he come in but he’s not even up to speed in a West Ham team who don’t play the intricate stuff we do. I don’t know how he’d have ever made an impact here.

I guess that we’d have had to look for someone like Dewsbury-Hall who is playing and fit, but that makes for a much smaller window of potential candidates and a much bigger price tag.

NSC has been a pretty unedifying place the last few weeks. As many predicted, some of our fans have become pretty entitled.

That game seemed to early for him in his comeback. I was amazed he started ahead of Fati in the first place.

Yes and no.

For me Enciso is trying too hard, and has gone back to not releasing the ball.

Fati, I’m just not sure, he seems a better fit for European games, but is really struggling currently IMO. He definitely added something when he came on though.

RDZ is a winner who is not prepared to accept second best in any aspect of his pursuit of excellence on and off the field.
It has driven us forward, much quicker than we would have done otherwise.

I'm glad he was making it clear what he needed, to achieve the targets we all wanted.

Unfortunately the OP would rather live in a world where a 20 year old returning from injury should be good enough to beat a strong European team in a great vein of form.
