[Albion] Enciso Was awful

Has to be remembered it took Julio a little bit of time from his debut to improve his form and start scoring those screamers. Can't see why it would be different after a really bad injury

He has a foot like a traction engine. It was very telling as we played pretty but aimless triangles around their box, his only involvement was to sprint into free space take a touch and nearly score.

In every tidy, technical side, there are one or two players who try things. Ours are Groß, Enciso and Mitoma.

Take Manchester City for example, in my opinion one of the best technical sides of all time. When they are off the boil, it’s Rodri, back to Silva, back to Walker, inside to Rodri etc. Eventually it reached De Bruyne when he finds space and something actually happens - like us with Groß.

One downside of this, as with any player who tries things from our past (Rod Thomas, Kazenga Lua-Lua, Anthony Knockaert) is when you’re having a bad game, you look particularly shite because you’re not doing the basics and playing low-risk football like all your teammates. So you stand out for constantly losing the ball/making poor passing and shooting decisions.

BUT; when a game is in the balance and nobody is taking responsibility - up they’ll pop with a wonder goal or assist.

I love the guy and think he will be the next big money departure. He’s going to be a top player.

Yep. At the Brentford 3-3 last season I said to my brother that, though I liked him, I wasn't sure that I'd ever see him score for us. The next game came the deft finish against Bournemouth and then, shortly after, that goal at Chelsea. If it helps I'm happy to say that I don't think I'll ever see him score 5 in a Europa League second leg.

A really ridiculous thread. Not his fault that RDZ picked him and Buanonotte in Rome.

Encouraging cameo him from yesterday and the thunderbolt he unleashed after a brilliant move highlighted his capabilities.
It was soooo close to being another worldie.

His offensive capabilities have never been in question. The area of the game he needs to improve is off the ball and defensively. He is young and not a finished product, he still needs time and support.

Enciso is 20 years old and literally just returned from a serious injury. IMO it‘s not football clever to sit in an armchair and rip our youngsters apart - a whole thread dedicated to ‘how awful he was’ is astonishing. Surely an appraisal of his individual match performance could have been discussed on the Enciso thread in context with his attributes?

He had a brilliant second half of last season, scored the PLGotS against Citeh and incidentally he played for Paraguay at the age of 17 - it’s not like he’s a failed non-starter.

He and Pervis, Moder, Fati and Ferguson all off form for various reasons will come good - as will Baleba, Igor, Verbruggen and many other players who have been heavily criticised this season - it’s a process to come back from injury and it’s process to develop as a youngster. I honestly don’t get why some folk seem to have trouble remembering that?
