Just because he is in a knee brace and on crutches, that doesn't necessarily mean it is a serious injury.

We've seen players leave the Amex after games in protective boots only for them to play the following weekend. If there is any potential injury, they will look to stabilise the affected area to minimise the risk of further damage until they have the results of the full assessment.

Let's just hope that for Julio, it is more of a precaution.
Yes, agreed. Precautions should be taken in all circumstances with an injured player.
I’m sure the scan will reveal more.
We don’t jump the gun on reporting injuries so we’ll just have to wait to hear the outcome.
Even if it’s a minor injury I wouldn’t expect to see him play again until after the International break, and I think the chances of him playing for his national team for their WC qualifier will be non existent.
Hopefully it is just a minor injury.

Indeed.

Ciara Walsh was carried off at the World Cup on a stretcher, in tears, mumbling "I've done my knee. I've done my knee" - then played in the next game!

And remember Leandro Trossard at St.Mary's? - given oxygen on the pitch, then stretchered off - only to play a few days later!
Keira Walsh.

She missed at least one game but I think she missed two. She did pick up an injury but it wasn't serious, thankfully. I remember Murray going down injured against us and then looking for who hit him but there was nobody, he'd just fallen over. Players on the pitch aren't always the best judge.

out for as much as the rest of the year

Hmmm...

It says that according to previous reports he could be inactive for the rest of the year, but we'll find out the severity of the injury today. Emphasis on 'could' and 'according to previous reports'.

Doesn't seem like this guy knows anything new, I think it's worth waiting for official news before panicking. The Brighton Bubble interpretation of the tweet doesn't really help

Roberto will give an update I’m sure.

As an aside, I don’t think the fan should be taking a photograph of a player’s car and posting it , with Registration number showing, on a public forum like Twitter.
It's unlikely to be the player's car if he's wearing a boot. A staff car maybe, but I agree the registration number should've been blurred out.

I know it's a bit boring, but I think I'll just wait until we get confirmation from the club of what's up with the poor guy instead of jumping on any old tweet and running with a mis-translation...

It's not like we can do anything like heal him through the power of NSC, is it?

It's more than twitter isn't it. NSC is the number one Brighton fan forum
And no one on NSC has any idea what’s going on either! People just post shite from the internet and claim it as fact. The club have said 99% of what we see online is false.

I dont believe the club said any such thing. I did hear that Paul Barber said 999 things out of 1,000 on the Internet are false. That would make it 99.9%. But since I heard that on the Internet if it is true then everything else is false and if it is false then anything else could be true.

So I believe Enciso's great grandad speaks Norwegian and helped the dinosaurs build the pyramids.

Those Norwegians reach incredible ages and have no need for Viagra.

Do we know when this is actually supposed to have happened?
Rather bizarrely my son saw him and his interpreter in a Southwick vets on Tuesday afternoon, and there was no knee brace or anything pertaining to be a knee support.
The plot thickens
