I lost out in the ballot but not all the tickets were actually sold from the ballot in the end. You could buy a ticket for that game from the ticket office - which is what my friend and I did - second front row just behind the South goal! Great night.

Mostly we have 25,000+ fans in the stadium happily supporting the team. We should be very happy with that and if others chose to support in a different way and don’t put their football before the rest of their life does it matter? Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

We have always had no more than 4-6000 hard core fans. The rest are busy people with fences to creosote now the weather has improved, and anyway there is always Chelsea on the telly.

I was coming over for a family do on Sunday. Bought a ticket to take my nephew to his first game. Followed the lille villa game on line withe lille 3-2 ahead with 3 mins left, thinking this will be lovely, then cash scores and they win the penalties lottery. My tickets went on the exchange as soon as I could, a pair, and they didn't sell. I can only go when I'm in the country, so when I saw someone call him tw@tty cash today I wholeheartedly concurred.

The East Stand was so empty a lot of the North Stand regulars gave up their seats to come over and join us so we didn’t look so bad

Bank holiday weekend, not a big 6 side, nothing to win or lose - lots of people didn’t go.

I had an amazing time

Loads going on across town too this weekend with opening of the festival and fringe festival. Definitely will have added to the no-shows alongside general end of season apathy and families having bank hol plans

You forgot some. "Look how far we have come". "Current Manager In/Out In/Out , you shake it all about "(some of our "fans" will be gutted we won today. "There was an away fan sitting near me. I want him shot".

If the fair weather fans and tourists could stay away and leave the trains and concourse queues manageable, that would be just dandy.

No discernible change in atmosphere either.

If people can't make the game, no biggie as far as I'm concerned.

I went, got bored first half and came out at the end entertained, having enjoyed some good football and a dominant performance from us.

No bad thing if all the queues for things were considerable smaller today.

Wasn't worth driving up from Dorset on a BH Weekend.......not a plastic fan , just being realistic, it's all good if you live near Brighton !

Totally understand where you are coming from. I had reservations about making the trip from Dorset too and was thinking of giving it a miss.
Oddly the traffic was better than a normal day. Took around 2 and a half hours there and even with a quick stop at Shoreham McDonalds on the way home still got in before 8!

Traffic was great today on my trip from Lincolnshire. Plenty of empty spaces around us in the North stand but not surprising on a bank holiday weekend when the fixture was moved late.

I don't want this to be a negative thread, given a decent performance and result today.

Just an observation that there were an awful lot of empty seats all over the ground today, probably the most this season.

Had we been on a decent run or had something riding on the game, that certainly wouldn't have been the case.

So have many people just not fancied it today and lost a bit of enthusiasm? For the record, despite going, I certainly felt very meh beforehand but have somewhat got some mojo back.

Loads of good explanations why people couldn't go, including resceduling from Saturday. I put my seat on the exchange but it didn't sell. Not surprising given our recent woeful form and lack of goals.

I'm so pleased we won, and sad to have missed it due to attending my grandson's first birthday party. I suspect many others had family commitments that they wouldn't break ( poor performances dont help), and little to play for. In better times seats on the exchange are snapped up. Expect a full house for remaining home games...

Similar here. daughter and her partner with 40th birthday joint celebrations in Leicestershire yesterday, still with family on a campsite today.
but transferred my ticket to my brother‘s son-in-law who thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my brother.
