Won't be a shock, Bates has long since said he intends putting a hotel and conference centre at ER. The hotel plans are done - up and over the club shop, SE corner and Billy's Bar if I remember rightly.

Not sure about the supermarket, they have tried to put shops on Fullerton Park numerous times (all the dust car parks behind the West Stand - doesn't belong to the football club) but never get permission.

They historically have one of the dirtiest teams around, some of the worst supporters I've witnessed...utter scum, are owned by Ken Bates and have Dennis Wise as the manager.

I challenge anyone to think of a worse club than Leeds.

In saying that West Ham are the only club I know to have sung 'football' songs about brain tumours and miscarriages.

It's just not Leeds fans it's most fans.Hull fans were mocking QPR'S fans about 7/7 and Millwall about Ken Bigley to Liverpool fans.

Leeds is a very rich city these days.

But isn't Elland Road in a particularly shithole part of it? Can't see it being that attractive to developers.

All clubs have their ignorant neanderthals from Brentford to Barnsley to Birmingham. Leeds have loyal and decent fans as well. We're not Lewes DC or John Catt are we.

Yes, I can think of 2 clubs that rival Leeds as worst club:

Chelsea - although there isn 't much in it. Everything you say about Leeds applies to them - and more. At least Leeds fans aren't as fickle. Chelsea were getting 12,000 in the 90s for top flight football and once got 7,300 against Southampton!
And lets not forget the filth that make up the Milwall support. A nasty chavvy little club in a grotty part of town whose sole contribution to English football has been crowd trouble.

Honourable mention to Portsmouth - scum, think they Man Utd of the south, no class (kept us inside in the pouring rain and ran through their scorers in a 5-1 defeat), and the southern ITV companies have always loved them. :nono:

Liverpool started singing that turgid Liverpool chant and Millwall responded with "Hillsborough" to the same tune.

Classy. No tears shed by me if Millwall ever went bust.
