Do you think there will be any at the Amex? Most newish grounds seem to have them nowadays. I personally don't want them as watching games on the TV they just seem to be a distraction (although i have never seen them at a live game) and I know they are a good way of making money through the adverts but do we want them? or are they an unwanted distration? :glare:

Revenue income is far greater on the electronic boards so i would say at a guess we will be having them.

Already confirmed. NO.
However this may change if we get into the Premiership.

Ah fair enough must of missed that. I guess almost every (if not all) prem teams have that i suppose the money is too much to say no

Humble Pie for me then! When was this confirmed then?

I remember reading it many, many months ago. It might even have been a question on the 'Ask the Falmer team' thingy.

Edit: Advertising

Ah okay. seems an odd decision though considering it brings in more cash

But i'm sure the club have done a cost/benefit analysis of this. It might bring in a few extra £k a year but they probably costs tens of thousands more than a long piece of wood with a plastic banner over it :)

Apart from anything else, I can't see how they're not distracting for the players - after all, they're (presumably) trying to keep a mental picture in their heads of where everyone and everyting is.......but the back-ground keeps moving! I guess they must have got used to it, but can't say I like it myself.

Agreed. I found them really distracting at Villa last year when we went up there. I guess players just must get used to them though

Prem games have a massive global audience so advertising must be many times more lucrative than in the championship which let's be honest has an only moderate domestic audience. Think this is a good decision by the club and sure they'll have done their research!

I don't mind the ones that change the name every so often, I find that easy to ignore, but the ones that did my head in were the ones where a car seemingly moved around the perimeter every few seconds. Drove me nuts, the movement was impossible to ignore.
