There's some recent bias here, if I looked at a full list of CBs over the past 20 plus years the EPL has been in existence I'm sure there's more.

Toure and Konate shouldn't even be in the same conversation as Terry when I comes to who's "one of the best". Kompany and Dias maybe, VVD for sure. If you had said players like Adams, Vidic or Ferdinand you might have looked a bit like you know what you're talking about

Completely agree. Toure and Konate better than John Terry has to be one of the worst opinions I’ve ever seen on this board! even Dias for me is nowhere near.

Are people forgetting Terry, along with Carvalho, were the centre back pair that conceded the record low of 15 goals in a whole Premier League season! IMO, that will never be beaten

And Stam. When he was at his peak for United, I don't think there have been many better.

Not sure a slow centre back playing at the bottom of the Championship is what we need. It was obvious when White was on loan at Leeds he was standing out and was pivotal to Leeds promotion. You could see that he'd be able to make that step up. This transfer is Matt Clarke 2.0.

P.s. I haven't seen him play and I'm not a scout, so my opinion is irrelevant.

I’ve come to appreciate Webster more. Yeh, he’s got a mistake in him but so has Igor and Estupinan. He is no worse than them. And at his best he can be better
