The arse end of Hangleton
Since when was Warrington on Irish soil? And since when did shopping centres house military barracks?

Your analogy is completely wrong, it's also downright offensive.

Agreed Warrington was a despicable act of murder. Before we get too high and mighty as British people though, I'm sure we killed rather a lot of children in Dresden.

Well, the Arab/Israeli joint homeland concept was shattered the moment the British left, neither side wanted to settle that way, civil war ensued and Israel became Israel, the 1947 solution is still actually on the table, but nobody pays any notice to it anymore, its not in the interest of either side to sign up to it now.

Hang on. So one set of troops can kill a person on foreign soil, but when someone else does it to their people it's a completely different scenario?

That's the crux of your point.

No it's not. The crux is what is and isn't a legitimate target. 4 year old boys in shopping centres are clearly not.

I'm out of this thread. The usual IRA apologist nonsense from Tyrone who clearly shares the same romantic notion of the boys back home as those morons in Boston.

If a child dies in the act of a military action, then that is part of war.

How many bombs did we (the allies) drop during wars which indiscriminantly killed children?

The answer of course is shitloads.

Israel became Israel and ignored it's agreements about the partition and began its occupation of Palestine and its persecution of the Palestinian people. Resulting in their attempts to fight back while being driven out of their country as refugees or pushed into the occupied territories.

Hezbollah fought them to a standstill toe to toe in Lebanon last time didnt they?
Israel reached all their goals except the evident stupidity of "getting back the kidnapped soldiers". Hezbollah was driven 30 miles from the Israeli border and that border, and Hezbollah, have mostly been quiet since 2006, even during the big Gaza uprisings when you would have thought they may have taken some advantage. But, they did fight tenaciously, and with the modern Iran/China equipped weaponary they had available, they inflicted over a hundred casualties on Israel.

Fairly sure we were complicit in killing plenty of children during 'shock and awe' in Iraq.
And even more with the sanctions that were in place for several years.
