The quote sounds good although when put in context I have to disagree with orwells idea. I think that one can be an intellectual and a patriot. It is perhaps more of its time than you give it credit for and although the EDL are a section of society that disprove it I like to think that perhaps Orwells prediction that 'Patriotism and intelligence will have to come together again' is at least beginning to come true.

Couple of points...I call people Hitler lickers for a reason... If you promote yourself as Das Reich, be prepared to be called a Hitler licker..I call EDL bunch of racists, because, they are a bunch of racists.
They are not tackling Militant Islam, they are attacking Islam, that has been in this countryfor quite a while, and who have fought and died for Britain.
Im not sure that chanting Allah is a paedo, or who **** is allah is particularly aimed at 'militants'
As for Brightonfellas assumption i was kicked out of, not one, but two military institutions, as 'documented on this thread' based on a throw away insult shows a level of stupidity, thats hard to measure...

suppose your ideal would be for all of us to sit back whilst the extremists commit carnage on our streets, don't hit back or protest against them in fear that it will only aggrevate them even more & fuel the rest of the muslim comunitys hatred towards us. your solution is to simply let the ****ers do as they want..... pretty much as they are doing now but without any sort of backlash at all from any of us...
a bit like "tell them" that it is ok for them to set light to a poppy on remberance sunday, "tell them" that it is alright to ignore the minutes silence & disrespect our dead heroes on rememberance sunday, "tell them" that it is even accepted for them to practise sharia law over here.. and most important of all "tell them" that it is ok for them to commit another autrosity such as 7/7 & the savage killing of lee rigby over here.

mfe aint a Portsmouth led group at all, no one man leads us, though a certain pompey fella is very prominent in what we do.
the original plan was to have a one off stgeorges day march in brighton then take it to other parts of the country every year, this never materialized due to the fact that the lazy no good for nothing tree shagging brigade took it upon themselves to attack innocent women & children who were present on the march..lobbing smoke bombs bricks & allsorts at them, one 9 year old girl was crying her eyes out as a bottle was lobbed and landed right on her nut leaving her very traumatised.. what started out as a family day celebration for our patron saint turned into what you see now..carnage, & all started by your disgrcefull lot. it would never had continued in brighton had your scummy disgracefull lot handled themselves in a civilized manner, or not opposed us in the first place.
im sorry but there are no other words to describe your lot other than dispicible scum. you've seen clearly "as stated above" what we stand for but you've still got the ****ing neck to oppose it.
