Similarly, I am only interested in whether or not you see fit to nob your secretary if you are standing on a ticket that suggests that having sex with somebody other than your spouse is completely the wrong thing to do in any circumstance, irrespective of adult consent, marital difficulties or whatever.

Yes we do know - there was the message left for Jim Callaghan which said 'sorry about the mess and I don't mean the office' which in the 1960s was perhaps a more risque comment than the 2010 one.

Especially as the saying 'im sorry there's no money' is usually the phrase most uttered by the treasury (of any hue) hence the irony of the comment.

Ed is indeed a great speech maker. In my correspondence with him I have found him to be quite outstanding in his grasp of the countries issues. I love watching PM questions when he makes Cameron's face burst into uncontrolled red rage. Just makes me chuckle. I think he is very electable. As to how successful he will be as a Prime minster that will have to wait. He has the integrity of a Callaghan but hopefully a bit more steel after all his time in office opened a huge rift in the Labour Party, allowing this country to plunge into the hands of the she devil, from which we have never recovered to be a united nation.

The Government can't make the banks do anything. Banks are not political departments but money-lending scaredy-cats who feel that people and businesses cannot afford to repay their loans at this time. Hence, they are not lending.

That might have been true 5 years ago but the Government is now majority shareholder in a number of those banks. I feel they should have brought that influence to bear much more.
