Forget legend crap, Dunk is the best player ever to play for Brighton he has given us his career and being one of the best in his position in England is no small measure.

If ever a young player needs to take heed it's White. This is a show of professionalism that is in short supply and what a sign to those within the club as a captain.

I salute you sir.

Yep.

He is the epitome.

Move aside Lawrenson, Foster et al. The next few years will see Dunk known as the greatest ever to represent The Albion.

It really could be the best signing we could make for the next few years.

To know that come what may we’ll have Dunk as our bedrock CB, is just a fantastically reassuring foundation to build on.

If we can get Ben to sign an extension, that could be our CB’s sorted for years to come.

Uncle Tony and all associated have pulled off a masterstroke of business. By keeping Dunk he sends a message to other clubs that if you want our players you pay top dollar. It also sends a big signal to potential signings that we have ambition and want to move to the next level. .Rather than spend millions trying to replace Dunk ,it has saved the club fortunes and given the other guys a clue as to what to expect from the club if they do well .

His childhood club enquired about him. It's a chance to play in the Champions League, and almost certainly at a EURO's/World Cup. His current club says no.

How many players in that situation would throw their toys out of the pram? How many players would be handing in a transfer request and demanding a move? (Zaha, anyone?)

Not Dunk. He doubles down and signs a new contract that probably keeps him here for the rest of his career. Legend doesn't do him justice. I f*cking love him

Dunk is 100 times the man the cheating prick Zaha is. He’s a proper loyal man and knows when he’s onto something good. He’s also a more consistent player and worth a lot more than Zaha. Shown him up for the classless prick he is tbh.

True but Dunk is at a better club so the decision is easier. Imagine having to play for Palace.

Surely you’d stick around to see the new stand and that...? Stuff of dreams...

,it has saved the club fortunes and given the other guys a clue as to what to expect from the club if they do well .

Yeah think this is quite important. It also applies (sadly) to the agents who will be less likely to agitate for a move if they're earning regularly off the contact improvements.

CPFC2010 have just awarded the legend, Mr versatile Jeff Schlupp a new contract and all you lot can do is ramble on about Lewis Dunk, who’s not that good anyway. (Sakho is way better.)

Love that Dunk has signed a new contract, but I do remember a refusal to play when Fulham were interested a few years back, and that Aaron Mooy signed a new contract with Huddersfield a week before he came here (I know the circumstances were quite different though), so I am not quite as certain as you all seem to be that he is definitely staying and is 100% Brighton, I mean, he wouldn't need a new contract if he was totally happy before would he?
