Based on nothing in particular, I'm going to put the odds of Dunk departing at around 50/50.
I'd go with that

Bloom has said and i think proven so far this window that squad improvements aren't dependent on selling players. And we would still need another proven Champ CB to replace Dunk, if he was sold, to play alongside Uwe, Greer, and Rea either for this season (an expensive season long loan ?), a veteran ex prem on a short contract (expensive) or if a permanent player then a 2-4 year contract and a decent fee. (expensive)
Cannot understand why he's not playing. Stones is in the same situation with Everton (in fact, if anything, his move is more likely to happen than Dunk's) and yet he's still first choice centre back. I thing Hughton has made an error of judgement here. Dunk is without doubt our best CB.

Blame Hughton even though you have precisely 0 facts or understanding of what is going on? Great work
Surely it's 1 of 3 things;
1) The club know that they will sell him. So the want to play Greer/Uwe to form a partnership.
2) Dunk has refused to play as has been suggested
3) Hughton feels that Greer and Uwe are a better option.
Dunk is clearly an excellent Championship level centre half. He's young, English, good on the ball and scores goal. Last season his stats showed that he is in the top 3 for his position and improving all the time. He is far from a "steady" defender.
Maybe Dunk and his agent is waiting to see how the Stones deal pans out as Chelsea seem very keen on him ergo a better offer may come from Everton
You're missing an obvious fourth:
4) Hughton has assessed that Dunk's focus may be compromised by all the rumour and speculation so has taken him out of the firing line for now.
Very good point, I heard a rumour like that at the weekend and Everton going to £6m.
Surely by leaving him out you are putting him more in the firing line as it raises obvious questionsYou're missing an obvious fourth:

FWIW, I think Everton would be an excellent move for Dunk - right level, and a manager who will allow him to play football, rather than shout at him when he takes a touch rather than HOOF it.
I'm told he didn't refuse to play against Fulham. I have no idea about Southend as I didn't ask.
