Watching on Peacock in the US and they had some former luton player wash up on commentary who was as bias as it gets, even he said that was never a penalty.
If it did touch his back, then there's no excuse for the ref at all.Dunks arm was behind his back. The ball ricocheted off his back onto his elbow.
Absolutely scandalous as usual.
Er....Mathew Upson the ex Brighton player you mean?Watching on Peacock in the US and they had some former luton player wash up on commentary who was as bias as it gets, even he said that was never a penalty.
To be fair our pen should’ve been overturned so one due to Luton as well! Our first apology of the season incoming!
So it 100% isn’t a pen - he slides in to block and naturally his arm was ever so slightly behind his back. Wank decision!
Agreed - both weren’t pens.To be fair our pen should’ve been overturned so one due to Luton as well!
Stay on your feet then ! Dunk always does thatTry sliding in to tackle with your arms down by your side...you can't really do it, so the arms in unnatural position really should be looked at by the refereeing body
Howard Webb can come up with as much shiny new policy bollox as he wants.....
Refs can get it wrong in real time, but those utter pillocks in Stockley Park are nothing short of incompetent.
They seem more keen to double down and protect the refs reputation than get crucial decisions right.
It was a ludicrous decision. But the real crime is that VAR approved it.
VAR has become a total inconsistent shambles under Howard Webb, we don't need ref audio, or TV highlights shows, we need competent officiating in VAR.
Mich more of this, then he needs to go.
100%. How does Var not see it. As I say scandalous.
Convince me VAR would have called him to the screen. He shouldn't have his arms raised, but we see it all the time. It really was nothing. Pedro collapsed like a sack of potatoes. I think it's important to analyse decisions from a neutral perspective or not at all really. I thought the ref was good today, given the new rulings, but both penalties I would not have given. Although, applying the rules very strictly, there could be an argument for both. A silly argument that got sillier.Apart from the forearm into JP s throat / face
yes nothing there to make the ref give a pen
OMFG. Lee Mason is back? What is his role? Can only assume David f***ing Coote has had some refresher training from the recently re-installed Lee Mason.
Inconsistent and lacks basic awareness
And a man will land on the moonOne day it will go in full circle and free kicks will be given only for deliberate handball
Let's review in the morning Once dissected by the TV expertsConvince me VAR would have called him to the screen. He shouldn't have his arms raised, but we see it all the time. It really was nothing.
