Dunks arm was behind his back. The ball ricocheted off his back onto his elbow.
Absolutely scandalous as usual.
If it did touch his back, then there's no excuse for the ref at all.

I think it was given for two reasons.
a, var want to support the ref more this season
b, var want to spend less time making these decisions than they have previously (and got criticized for). Had they done that or sent the ref to the monitor I think it would have been overturned.

Had we dropped points because of that I think Howard Webb might have been parking in his usual spot on Monday morning.

Howard Webb can come up with as much shiny new policy bollox as he wants.....

Refs can get it wrong in real time, but those utter pillocks in Stockley Park are nothing short of incompetent.

They seem more keen to double down and protect the refs reputation than get crucial decisions right.

It was a ludicrous decision. But the real crime is that VAR approved it.

VAR has become a total inconsistent shambles under Howard Webb, we don't need ref audio, or TV highlights shows, we need competent officiating in VAR.

Mich more of this, then he needs to go.

More woke nonsense from....

Oh. Hang on. Yep, GL right again.

Apart from the forearm into JP s throat / face
yes nothing there to make the ref give a pen 🤔
Convince me VAR would have called him to the screen. He shouldn't have his arms raised, but we see it all the time. It really was nothing. Pedro collapsed like a sack of potatoes. I think it's important to analyse decisions from a neutral perspective or not at all really. I thought the ref was good today, given the new rulings, but both penalties I would not have given. Although, applying the rules very strictly, there could be an argument for both. A silly argument that got sillier.

one of the stupidest handballs seen given.

if thats how rules apply, we're going to get to a point where oppositon deliberatly kick the ball at defenders arms.
