Off to Dublin for a couple of days with the good lady, have any of NSC's finest been there before?

Kilmainham gaol
Guinness tour (yes it's touristy but it's good)
Jamiesons distillery
Open top bus tour - get one where the driver does the commentary rather than the recorded one.

Take a lot of cash. no, seriously, a lot. and a cashpoint card.

And get a loan.

Do look at the needle thingy. Really impressive - but dont know why!
Do the Guinness Tour - just to marvel at how they have made a whole tour on a drink

By the seaside in West Somerset
oh and the chip shop by the Mollie Malone statue in O'Connell Street (can't remember its name, Beshoff's?) - they do a great battered smoked haddock

Actually, one thing we did do that was quite good was an afternoon of Gaelic games at Croke Park. Two 'football' matches and a one of hurling (brilliant fun, punch-ups every five minutes). Lasted at least four hours and only cost about 25 Euros. The scoring system is completely, well, Irish but all in all a cracking afternoon's entertainment.
