Bannatyne is a completely different character to the one he presented in earlier shows. He often has a smile on his face now and comes across as very warm and likeable. I don't remember thinking that in the past.

But they all want to be media personalities. All of them have released books on the back of the series, FFS.

At least one has appeared in adverts, purely for exposure (sure don't need the money).

Several are mega-rich so £50K means nothing to them.

And, as noted in this thread - and by you in the past - the production is way too formulaic. The Dragons ALWAYS invest in the final pitch.

I'm out.

Peter Jones had a whole programme about him and his nice house and big cars.

Does she ever fork out any cash? I've not watched that many episodes of DD, but I can barely remember her making a deal with anyone.

Was just scrolling through to see if anyone else was of the same opinion; has the saggy faced munter ever backed ANYONE?

Yes and no.

Also I was, indeed am, hoping to see some sparks between Duncan and James after the very public spat they had over non dom taxes before they started filming this series.

Interesting he said he (Duncan) didnt have a bean at 26 and was bumming on a surf board in Jersey. Some turn around.

Also, did anyone understand what that first bloke's idea was about? I did not understand it at all.

Always good viewing , unless yuo end up watching the same episode over and over on Dave but a new series is all good. That traffic sign light guy was weird, and a shite idea, most peole get by just fine and if you are an ignorant driver you not gonna pay attention to his unfathomable light system, blue and red and green lights changing colours and moving up and down in no discernable system? Just odd.

Frozen pudding woman was good, glad she got a deal.

That pic someone posted of deborah Meaden reminded me of a question on Shooting Stars the other night;

"True or false? Nobody has ever slept with Deborah Meaden" Haha!

Deborah Meaden invested!!!!

I couldn't believe it. I was going to see if I could find odds online for her to go through the entire series without spending a penny. She never seems interested in anything, and I can't really see what she adds. I'm glad for who she invested in that Theo went 50/50 with her, so it's not a complete waste of her time.

Also, that chap who gave his life story about the motorised clothes drying thing.. classic! "I was talking to my wife, and she said, "listen mate..."...". Classic! :lolol:

I can't believe the Meaden investment will actually happen.

The bloke with the washing line was a great chap.

Am I right in thinking she went through the entire last series without investing in anyone? I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure she didn't?

He was quite classic bless him, but with an awful invention. I thought the traffic signals guy last week was classic Dragons Den... a pisspoor idea being presented in an appalling way.

Deborah Meaden invested 3 times in the last series (Series 7). She was behind Jones with 6, Theo with 5, Caan with 4 but ahead of Bannatyne with 2.

Series Six she invested 4 times - behind Jones and Theo again (6 and 5).

Series Five she invested 6 times, with no one investing more often.

Series four she invested 4 times, with Richard Farleigh and Theo ahead on 5.

Series Three, when she joined, she invested 4 times, equal first with Theo.

In total she has invested in 21 businesses (excluding current) in five series, making roughly 4 investments each series. That's roughly every other week in the eight week series.

In the same period Peter has invested 23x, Duncan 15x, Theo 25x, Caan/Farleigh 22x.

Her last five investments (excluding current series) have been £100,000 and she averages around £90k per investment, making her one of the highest investors.
