I hope they have got some Northern beer for you and mushy peas.
You should have all your tickets and add to the fun on the day.
After all its nice to share this historic day as long as we win.

I take it that was meant in jest fella, there are 800-1000 supporters at this end wondering whether they still hold onto their hotel and coach bookings for the 10 hour return trip to your place.
The old Brighton supporters wouldn't have thought this way , I take it you're just a JCL ?

I doubt it - bearing in mind his usual pig-ignorant modus operandi.

BTW, Hope your supporters get those tickets. Top bunch Donny fans, the more the merrier.

Even if they had 200 left, would it need much of a barrier to separate the fans?

Considering the significance of the game, isn't it reasonably safe to mix both sets of supporters?

(providing Das Reich is in his Hannibal Lecter cage of course)

As you probably know, we sold out our 1300 allocation earlier in the week, and our club said a decision would be made today if we would receive an extra allocation.

Apparently now, we will not know until the middle of next week. I have been told we have 800 names on a waiting list for more tickets. Just wondered if you guys could shed any light on the situation?

Are the clubs waiting for the final safety clearance, after 17,000 attend tomorrow, before finally being allowed to have 22,500?

I just hope you are given your allocation, I for one having been at the last game at The Goldstone the support you showed us then and up until today has been one of the highlights of our campaign. Thoreveraviking, someone on here has mentioned the potential of us taking up the slack of say 200-300 tickets if unsold. Would that be practical in your eyes or do you have your element who wouldn't accept that ??

Silly question, but the league rules dictate that the away team is allowed 10% of the ground capacity, do they have to pay for them all even if they onlu use up say 80-90% of the allocation? Would be good to get a full Donny support for the atmosphere.

This is actually a very good point!

Oh, and give the Donny fans the tickets, let's have a full away end!

There are always the foolish element, the wiseguys but usually we have a way of sorting out our own pillocks.
I see absolutely no reason at all why this couldn't be done for a game of this nature and historical significance but I doubt the W.Sussex police would take the same view.
We have many a local 'derby' game in our own area and usually (incl.Leeds) they go off without problems save the usual mouthy one's who are quickly put in their place.

This game is being spoken about in much the same way as your lot, we're ready and excited and it's a point of daily discussion seemingly everywhere.

However don't expect an easy game , we are looking in 'tip top' form , have kept our best players and brought in some very sharp cookies from what we've seen in pre-season.

Are the club waiting until after the friendly tomorrow before making a decision ? There are 2 scenarios , send Donny the remaining tickets with a chance the away end might be 200 short of selling out or partition the South Stand (capacity 2,575) so an extra 1,000 Albion fans can watch the game. The first option is preferable because when we travel away it could happen to us e.g. Smellhurst.

As far as we know ... sales to the long queue of waiting, unsatisfied Albion fans are on hold until a decision is taken about whether Donny can have more than their original allocation.

I would hope that an early decision can be taken. Either way, there are going to be a lot of disappointed people.

Give them their allocation.

We had tickets on sale for two days before they went.

TB

When the Doncaster tickets went on general sale I expected them to sell out within minutes, hence I got up at 1:45am to try and nab one. I was shocked it took two days. That being the case, I just don't think there IS a long queue of waiting, unsatisfied Albion fans. Let Donny have the extra tickets.

Northern Spunk Monkey?! What's that mean? Personally, I have to take half a viagra just to stop me from pissing on my slippers!

Anyway, erudition aside, I'm certain that segregation wouldnt me needed because we've learned a lot over the years and one thing is that you enjoy your football and dont go in for this macho stuff. We've had the bad times and remember what it was like.
We went to Wolves a couple of seasons ago and we were segregated by 3 rows of seats! I was leaning across talking to some Wolfies, we were all swapping flags and we had a great time... even tho we lost to a last minute goal. Some of their fans were saying on their forums that they got quite emotional when all the Donny coaches went past with fans applauding them.
Loads of fancy dress too... I think a motorcycle cop got a bit fed up of having his photo taken with Batman, Bananaman etc whilst the coaches were held up on the road outside Wolverhampton!
Should be a great occasion.

No, I think that's been taken care of with so many new STH. On the second point, I quite agree. One thing we haven't heard. What is the local beer from Doncaster? Wards, Stones, Kelham Island etc, were or are Sheffield beers.

Echo this, they should get a full allocation, I am sure the Albion will take a decent following to their ground...but as for the Northern beer and mushy peas...I am sure the Donny fans will enjoy the local pies and Southern beers, just to show them that you don't just get good hospitality, food and drink up norf!
