Stephen Colbert's monologues have been incredible for the entire 4 years of his presidency, and also during the campaign.

They're all on YouTube but I would especially recommend the Scaramucci series - the arrival, the bonkers media appearances and the subsequent firing. Bohemian Rhapsody never sounded so good in different context.

Not that I've seen face-to-face, as Trump just tends to walk off if he gets some hard questions. But Stephen Colbert is so great as a regular Trump-shredder on his show.

Well worth a trawl-back. Also Seth Meyers

Discovered these guys last year, and they've made the lockdown evenings a whole lot more entertaining since I subscribed. Their monologues are truly excellent viewing.

The two Jimmies - Fallon and Kimmel are pretty good as well.

Just remembered another one. Suggesting guards should shoot people in the legs and that they should reinforce the wall with a trench full of alligators and poisonous snakes.

During his speech before boarding Air Force 1 for the last time at his rally today, he said due to his great work we have two vaccines and another one on the way which we will see cases of covid "sky rocketing downward"

He’s quite clearly dementia-riddled. He’s not lasting a year.

None of it's a 'favourite' any more, it/he's not funny. It's serious - and it's bad. The deranged orange ctun is a menace, and now actually in power. :(
Musk has seen at close hand that Trump is a basket case so he's going to do what he wants....Zuckerberg allowing more political stuff on Meta and getting rid of moderators.....we are going to hell in a handcart

It went pretty well for the oligarchs in Russia (and even though they are inconvenienced by sanctions they're still filthy rich and leading the good life) so I guess American oligarchs are thinking, 'we'll have some of the same'?
The move of Elon Musk into government is indeed a great cause for concern.

Today he suggested that we rename the "Gulf of Mexico" to the "Gulf of America"...

For real.
And he's going to make Canada the 51st state and bring the Panama canal and Greenland under US control. If Joe Biden – or any of the other 'side' – was saying shite like that, news networks and social media would be in MELTDOWN.

Berk.

I really hope Trump goes through with his "threat" to not allow the flags to be half-mast at his inauguration ( as they should be due to J. Carter's death )

It would mean that people looking back in 100 or 200 years time would know what a tool Trump was.

From the BBC News website;

US President-elect Donald Trump has threatened "very high" tariffs on Denmark if it resists his effort to take control of Greenland, an autonomous Danish territory.

Asked during a news conference Tuesday if he would rule out using military or economic force in order to take control of the strategically-important island, he said: "No, I can't assure you on either of those two."

"I can say this, we need them for economic security," he said.

Trump also said he would use "economic force" against Canada and called the US-Canada border an "artificially drawn line".

Could be Putin talking about Ukraine.
