EDIT: The truly funny thing here, with Elon calling himself a Free Speech Absolutist, is that none of the shit DKM said was actually on Twitter. It was in interviews and live shows.

A weak man idolised by even weaker people.

Musk and Trump are not defenders of free speech and they know it. It's just a mantra to keep constitutional advocates on side. They are quietly dismantling the government and it will be to a point that they won't have any opposition come the elections in 2028 and no judiciary to uphold the constitution. It's a very scary time.

Am I missing something here? In the linked article the dropkick murphys say they weren't suspended by Musk. They left twitter in 2022,someone started using their old handle and pretending to be them so they got the account suspended.

We quit Twitter in 2022 when he was only half a Nazi,” says singer Ken Casey. “Then someone else took our handle, pretending to be our official account, so we filed a legal complaint to put a stop to that—which is why @dropkickmurphys shows as suspended. Look, we pulled our account because we didn’t want to be part of that guy’s empire. But if we were still on there, I’m sure he would have suspended us by now.”

Trump and Musk are clearly both weapons grade bellends but this sort of stuff is only going to play into the hands of those who defend them. Fake news etc etc.
