I'm not quite sure why, but I carried on watching the whole thing and his response to someone who asked about the 'clash' between Musk and the other 'proper' politicians was stunning:

"No clash, you're just a trouble-maker. And you're not supposed to ask that question, because we're talking about the World Cup. Who are you with?"
"NBC"
"Ugh, no wonder. That's enough"

What a stroker :lolol: And he seems COMPLETELY unimpressed with the trophy, the ball and pretty much everything else that is going on!
I found a video clip this morning on SKY, but couldn't download it here.

Part of an interview with reporters aboard AF1 went like this....

"Mr President, has Putin disrespected you, by attacking Ukraine?"

"Who?"

"President Putin"

"What did he do?"

"Well, he attacked Ukraine"

"Err, is he disrespecting me? Who are you with?"

"The Washington Post"

*look of disgust* "Err, you've lost a lot of credibility"

Please, somebody do something....anybody. I've had all I can take from the big orange blob.

No - I just offered an opinion. I don’t want to debate it with anyone as it’s my opinion and won’t change.
Kinda pointless posting on here then? The whole point is to dissect and debate so we can all learn and have more rounded views.

What's the point in posting and then not wanting any engagement or pushback at all? Might as well just write it on a toilet wall.

the new PM of Canada:

Economist, Governor of the Bank of Canada (2008-2013), Governor of the Bank of England (2013-2020), United Nations Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance, degrees from Harvard University and the University of Oxford.

"Leader" of the U.S.A:

Convicted felon, an imbecile.

S&P now below where it was before the election.

Telsa PE still 117, that's still crazy for a company that is imploding. Volkswagen has a PE of 4.5. Tesla was always a silly meme stock

Oooh he should be careful.

His pal Bezos owns that paper. Not sure he should be criticising his billionaire mates, biting the hand that feeds and all that.

The sane Canadians among us (there is a MapleMAGA element, mostly in the Western provinces) will be voting strategically to elect Carney. He's Keynesian, a committed social democrat who, as you mention, has also been sounding the alarm for years re: climate change. That will unfortunately mean fewer seats for the NPD -- the centre-left party that serves as Parliament's conscience and a check on both the Conservatives and the Liberals --, but desperate times require united and forceful action
