Maybe but until he came on scene I had never heard any leader talking about peace or even a cease fire. If this carries on no nation will put troops in Ukraine and with troops getting smaller and dishartened there will only be one winner.
With Putin leading Russian I have had real worries that this could end up as WW3 so I am dedlighted whenever I hear people talking about a peace agreement.

Very naive thinking I'm afraid. Any agreement with Putin isn't worth the paper it's written on, no matter how much Trumpity Trump claims Putin won't go back on any agreement with him. If anything it'd further embolden Putin to attack elsewhere/push further into Ukraine, and push us closer to a potential WW3

Lasting peace, I’m all in.

You seem to forget that it was the US who stirred the original coup in the Ukraine in 2014. Probably the one and only thing Putin is telling the truth about (although omitting the Russian attempts to make Ukraine their puppet too).

See that 'f*** the EU'call below

The US had a huge invested interest in Ukraine.

So what's changed and why ? Ukraine's usefulness, that's what has changed.

It's one thing saying America First and another thing just walking away from age old alliances the US has forged, often in its own interests and getting into bed with the very power that threatens the other members of that alliance.

So folk in Europe are a little angry right now. Especially with the 'lasting piece' concept with is actually American self interest.

Trump is an idiot and pathalogical liar, doesnt need the facts, just spouts whatever comes into his head.
I suspect that Putin does have a video of him shagging Musk, or something over his head that he really does nor want revealed.

Should we begin to effectively consider the US as a 'rogue state'?
I'm watching some 'good' people in the Senate discuss Ukraine who quite clearly think Trump is wrong. I suppose it depends whether their voices are loud enough to get through & the tide to turn.

He’s doing a great job so far sorting the world and the woke. Good on him.
I think this is behind his whole 'admiration of Russia' thing. Russia is among the most anti woke nation on earth and Trump hugely admires Putin for it. So in the name of 'who uses which bathrooms' we're going to have a whole new world order, trade wars, likely escalation to real war and huge increases in wage disparity, damage to public health, major damage to the environment, complete rejection of any action to halt climate change, this leading to huge amounts of poverty, food crises and so on.

So by sorting the world, you basically mean f***ing it up, putting everyone in their place, and hoping you and your family and friends never have to deal with anything difficult. It will be interesting to know that as soon as people lose access to things they once took for granted, whether people will remember what was once possible.

The woke could probably have been sorted with a whole lot less angst, but it ain't Trump's style.

To using 'woke' and the culture wars to praise this insanity is conclusive proof that someone has been hoodwinked.

Even if it was as big a issue as people claim, which no one has ever convinced me of, this response is, as you suggest way ou of proportion

I guess this is why the post is so . . Concise

Why?. Because the majority voted against what you believe in ?
Don't be a fanny.
Oh look Spence is taking an interest in legitimate democractic expression! How sweet. Shame he and the sex pest he supports don't apply the same rationale to the fair and democratic election of 2020.

That's flawed thinking. The majority in Germany voted for the Nazis (no I'm comparing Maga to Nazism (yet).

Of course a country can still become a rogue state despite the government having achieved office democratically (yes i accept that, unlike you lot in 2020), by breaking international law and or becoming a threat to world peace through aggression one way or another. These ****s in the White House are absolutely causing the States to become a rogue state the more they cosy up to the Russians and distance themselves from their traditional allies, and through shit like Trump's abhorrent rhetoric around Greenland and Gaza etc.

Absolutely the States are becoming a rogue state, if not there already.

Is that really all you've got? How many times have you made that comment?

You are doing yourself absolutely no favours as a typical Trump supporter - absolutely no substance to any argument /discussion whatsoever other than 'woke leftism' and 'the majority voted for him - suck on that' ... and laughing emojis.
So pathetic

I don’t think Trump groupies are in any position to lecture anyone about accepting election results.

Nevertheless, do you think people really voted for the stuff Trump is doing to say, Ukraine?

Siding with the Ruskies? Withholding intelligence, leading DIRECTLY to the deaths of civilians?

Allowing Putin to fight on and get closer to his goal of WW3?

Zelenskyy was quite correct when he said America will feel the effects of a Russian victory in Ukraine. The world will.

Any chance of telling us how he’s going to get “peace”?
Try and look past the words

Trump is an international blackmailer. Trying to strong-arm nations into handing over their resources.

To use his own words “he’s gambling with World War 3”.

A few days ago I credited Trump with at least bringing up the concept of a ceasefire.

I take it back. He’s an extortionist. A thug. A mobster.

He’ll end up swimming with the fishes.
