So you don't like Tucker Carlson? That's your problem
Who is weak? The Traitor and coward? Well done on being able to identify English words now see if you can string them together in a coherent sentence. Cheers.
Cheers
No it’s your problem. It means you associate with Quislings.
Look it up.
Are you English?
Doesn’t seem to be one of your strengths

CD is a fascinating example of the lengths one must go to in order to support old trumpy.

I have been very careful what I have said, you need to put those allegations in context. I've been called all sorts in this thread not even for expressing an opinion other than it’s a fit up job, I am questioning the prevailing narrative. If i am throwing mud BACK then I suggest don't start lobbing it to begin with.
That’s fair enough - I agree mud slinging works both ways but you have to admit some types of mud sticks better than others simply because it has a better consistency of truth.
point you are already at by not giving Trump any benefit of the doubt so will lead to a stigma of being nasty or a bad faith actor. Why would you take that position? A sane person would stay right out of the conflict.
Um nothing to do with the media at all but based on 4 years of a Trump presidency - We’ve been here before - have MAGA supporters completely forgotten how he dealt with Covid; risks he took with National Security by cosying up to foreign dictators that he felt he had some kind of affinity with; toxic relationships he had with his own Whitehouse staff; AG, VEEP ( because he wouldn’t overthrow the election results); and for me personally, how he backed a far right fascist leader in Israel to pursue a policy of extending the boundaries of Israel to include all the currently illegally Occupied Palestinian Territories. Thus culminating in Israel’s international reputation being shredded and compounding security risks for decades to come rather than working on a peaceful 2 State Solution.

Also, again personally for me (because of the Climate Change/environmental work I do in my job) Trump pulling the US out of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change weakening its international framework for change, reinvigorating fossil fuel industries in the States and approving drilling in the AWNR ( Arctic Wildlife Nature Reserve) - over 19 million acres of pristine and incredibly important wildlife habitat.

Just to name a few things that make me very sure that another Trump term of Office is the very last thing we need globally at the moment.
. All are arguing in bad faith and have made no attempt to give quarter over the issue, none. If you cant be conciliary to accommodate alternate views there is no conversation. I'm F'ing tired of it.
I will give you 25% of the ground here in that Biden is the worst democrat Candidate ever to stand for president in my lifetime based on the electorate’s concern about his age and cognitive health as well as his failure to reign in Israel’s war in Gaza by not condemning more readily civilian casualties or lack of aid supplies and repeated vetoing on the UN Security Council for humanitarian ceasefires. I am afraid this election could be lost by Biden if Democrat voters do not get behind him rather than won by Trump.

Before politics became an issue, we all knew what Trump stood for, he openly painted this picture himself and the footage is there showing the type of individual he is. He didn't care that he showed his true colours, he was too arrogant and untouchably rich to care.

So someone needs to explain to me how anyone can vote for him knowing what sort of person he is, let alone come on an internet forum and campaign for him.

Just watched this. 82 mins documentary, done before attempted insurrection and vote theft, its illuminating and absolutely chilling, a lot of people who served right next to him.

This lunatic should be nowhere near power.

'Winner' is very attractive to tens of millions of American voters.

And if you say winner often enough, in America apparently that's what you become.

And whatabout sleepy Joe and crooked Hilary?

Bosh. Winner!

Didn't even mentioned the worst bit.

Trump promised that if he loses, there will be a bloodbath.

No doubt, he is running to try and cancel federal convictions, and he knows its jail if Biden wins, so guess he'll try and launch an all out civil war/insurrection as his last throw of the dice.

It's all about him, everything

I think you'll find that this is all media manipulation.... 🙄 or maybe our resident Trumpoid will find some other justification for it. Or perhaps they will just ignore it and talk about Biden or something. Let's see how this one is spun.

there's a problem here, he's misquoted about a word and everyone loses their shit over it. the bloobath comment is relating to trade.

i know full well he uses the language to trigger a reaction in his supporters. it also works on his opponents. they latch on, cry about it, then his supporters see its out of context and that panders to the sense there's a conspiracy to suppress them. whatever we want to call this, Trump a lot, lot better at this than the Democrats.

It's incredible.

I think I understand Trump, and I think I understand some of his followers. What I'm struggling to understand is why the Republican party are supporting him and why the legislative process is allowing him to continue. He is a convicted criminal and a huge threat to democracy in the US.

That's not a fact. He follows it up with the claim that there will never be another election if he loses. What do you think that means?

may be you've watched the whole thing unedited, sounds to me like the two comments edited together to sound like that.

Exactly this.

He reads from a teleprompter.

There's few coindences, it's calculated imho, to lay the threat.

He also did exactly this in Jan 2021, and thus why no republican heavyweights including his former VP will endorse him.

@beorhthelm rather than be a Trump apologist, i challenge you to watch the 82 min documentary I posted above (#2408), from accounts of those right next to him, on his staff. Kellyanne Conways husband etc about his mental state and motivations

You may play with semantics, Trump a malignant narcissist, motives based on mental state are pretty clear.

If you can't be arsed, use your brain. This criminal was willing do absolutely anything to hold onto power, including trying to steal and overturn a democratic election and by launching a "bloodbath" insurrection, government take over in Washington where people were killed.

You really think if Biden wins and he's facing Jail, this malignant narcissist was only referring to car imports?

No I haven't seen it all unedited, so the two points could be separate. I'm still not convinced that the bloodbath (in a pre-planned speech) means trade with no intention of stirring up the idea of violence.

No one has misquoted him - Trump says in his own words ‘now if I don’t get elected it’s gonna be a bloodbath’ … ‘that’s gonna be the least of it’ and he says it more than once. He also says ’If this election is not won, I am not sure , you will ever have another election in this Country’

The language Trump used following the 2020 election and leading up to the storming of the US Capitol was hardly inconsequential and as you say, triggered a reaction - that being the worst threat to the peaceful, democratic transfer of power the Country has ever seen.

Why would you play down any of Trump’s rhetoric? - He’s proven time and time again that he dog whistles to a support base that includes extremists and brainless thugs.

Not one to defend him, but I believe this was about manufacturing and China using Mexico to import cars

I imagine he knew the reaction it would bring, it has and I imagine he's cheering it has played out like he hoped.
