So all those different categories you mentioned, yes they might have differing primary motivations, but they've ALL decided they're okay with the racism and misogyny.

If only we had nouns to describe people who are okay with racism and misogyny. But alas.
Casual racists?

That's not really an answer though, is it? And @Kinky Gerbil's even less so, but that one doesn't even warrant a response.

See, if a party presented a policy programme that was literally everything I ever wanted -- hell, they could even put in "free money for life for blokes called Jim" -- but added "yeah, and we're also gonna round up a bunch of brown people, take their legitimate citizenship away, and deport them" I'd vote against them because I couldn't tolerate the racism.

Where as a one line response calling everyone who voted for him a racist is a well thought out response :ROFLMAO:

Famously, of course, Trump supporters never attack or abuse those who don’t agree with them.
Absolutely they do. Both sides have their… shits.

Former Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger, is getting absolute pelters for commenting on a Russell Brand post asking where to get a hat with Trump colours.

IMG_4096.jpeg

She is currently starring in Sunset Boulevard on Broadway, and after her post has received death threats both online at the theatre.

She has been forced to apologise, but there are still calls for her sacking and a strong cancellation attempt ongoing.

I think the actual crime here was following/commenting on a post by that cretin Russell Brand, but that’s by the by.

The liberal left can be extremely vicious, just as the right can. Thankfully, they aren’t resorting to actual violence on the scale of the January rebellion.

This is brilliant by the way - enormous projection onto the side of the Tesla HQ building by Led the Donkey, the same group that dropped a lettuce image behind Liz Truss when she was declaring her support for Trump at an event in Suffolk

Portions of one side voted for that as a primary factor. Portions voted for pro-life. Portions voted for economic reasons. Portions voted for gun rights.

My point is that blanket statements like “everyone who voted for Trump voted for mass deportation” may be technically correct (the best kind of correct), but many will have voted for Trump despite that.

The Democratic vote collapsed. It was democrats who lost their vote share. 11m (and falling) votes disappeared. It’s clear nobody was very happy with the Biden administration and saw Harris as a continuation of the same regime.

A perception probably not helped when Harris was asked what she had done differently to Biden, and she said nothing.
Corrected for you.

There is certainly some truth to this. This was Labour and their supporters under Corbyn.
Change some of the insults to woke, libtard etc and it also sounds like trump and his supporters.

Its totally fine, Trump and Musk are totally sensible people to vote for and the answer to people's economic problems.

Smart vote from smart voters.

This is genius. Nailed it. And this is why @lasvegan doesn't need to explain himself.

In case there was ever any doubt that Musk bought himself some political power

On NSC for over two decades...
It doesn't sound like he has much of political remit from that. He does have form when it comes to finding efficiency at Twitter - sacked how many people? The company didn't collapse though, which suggests they weren't doing anything useful.

A statement from the Trump transition team, external says that together the two men will "dismantle government bureaucracy... cut wasteful expenditures" and create an "entrepreneurial approach to government".

I can't see any dangers in Elon doing this, they are going to change the way the American government works, just like their madate tells them too.

Also the appointment of Pete Hegseth who was a Fox news achor and platoon leader in the national guard also seems like a solid appointment as defense secretary.

it would be deep irony if they created a new branch of government to deal with inefficency wouldn't it ? :lolol:

there's detail in there, not a real department and the dual leadership, i doubt Elon will have any real say on anything. chipping in, poking nose around without any real outcomes, pissing off departments and their leadership, they'll love that. i suspect there will be legal challenge to his involvement eitherway, expect shareholders will complain he's not able to give attention to running companies. a lot of time and hype before anything real happens.
