The weird set up as you say is to stop people gaming the system. If the EC was abolished it becomes a numbers game and importing voters becomes very salient, where people who consider themselves dis-enfranchised will quickly go to arms.

Sadly I think we have reached that point so war is inevitable. May I suggest you stop making arguments based on your own corrupt self interest?

And yet you responded scumbag.
No interest at all in responding to me, after incorrectly stating that I was wrong about your video edited and shared to manufacture more unnecessary drama?

People need to start feeling more comfortable and confident in holding their hands up and being accountable when called out for being grossly incorrect or wilfully ignorant. On both sides. A real rarity.

There maybe an element of truth in this - when people feel politically disenfranchised and powerless to effect change through the democratic process, direct action is the next step.

However, the US isn’t China and the Lincoln Memorial plaza isn’t Tiananmen Square. Afaia, America is still a liberal democracy with a voting system whose only major flaw for Trump is that there is no proven evidence of widespread corruption on the level that would justify not accepting the results (despite years of reseach/investigations).

Sadly I think we have reached that point so war is inevitable.
That would be wishful thinking by far right ideologues (like Trump, Bannon, Farage etc) who have an insurrectionist agenda - they laughingly call it “draining the swamp”, when what they actually mean is they want to blow up the ‘swamp’ of democracy in action, flawed as it is, and have dictatorial power over the mess.

Elon Musk, the latest in line to declare his far right agenda, warning of civil war in the UK and thinly veiled support for ‘Trump the Insurrectionist’:

“The tech billionaire has cast doubt on machines that tabulate votes and mail ballots, both common features of US elections. He has repeatedly claimed there is rampant non-citizen voting, a frequent Republican talking point in this election.”

May I suggest you stop making arguments based on your own corrupt self interest?

That’s just weird.

Yep. For the majority of people, 'sorry' really DOES seem to be the hardest word. I think it's because deep down - even when they've been proven wrong - they still believe they are right. That and they think it shows weakness, which is BS.

As I posted before the numbers are heavily skewed. i logged on to 12 responses and 8 quotes. i don't have the time to respond to all, with citations and admissions of errors. seriously I'm not getting dragged. Nobody here has posted" CD got it right about Biden and his dementia and I got it wrong". I am not going to be held to different standards by bad faith actors

I respect you for being civil and polite but try to understand someone who disagrees with the Hive mind on here is going to run the gauntlet. I may block more trolls.

Although i may object to your post especially smearing Elon as far right(It achieves nothing) thanks for the response.

Correct, and I believe that’s what I had already posted.

Yes, it is what you posted. I think Harry WT just couldn't believe his eyes and thought you must have meant the republicans.

Because to most people here it seems that Trump could literally do anything and his supporters would still vote for him. Trump himself even said that I think. And when people like Crawley Dingo post their fake videos, completely unaware just how fake they are, you can't help feel there's no reasoning with them. If CD has now realised the video was complete fake, will he take a step back and reconsider his view and sources? No of course not. He'll plough on regardless.

There are no logical arguments here for voting for Trump. So to suggest that it's the blues who are too far gone is just odd.

I totally agree with all of your post.

And I should of course add that I don’t believe it’s exclusively the (small sub-section) Blues who may be too far gone, I honestly believed it should have gone without saying that many Republican supporters are too, of course.

We’ve seen many thousands of “MAGAsycophants over the past 7 years, with an actual genuine relatively large following outside of the USA (particularly in Canada and the UK).

I apologize for omitting my stance on that in earlier posts, I truly believed it went without saying.

Feel free to object,

Politics is after all largely about opinions.

However, if you don’t believe Elon Musk is going all in with right wing politics and drifting into far right, I think your opinion of him needs a refresher:

He started aligning himself to the right and pallying with far right Republicans soon as he bought Twitter - the platform he has recently given to the British far right activists and criticism of the British Government for punishing online extremis content posters says it all really

I appreciate that - but please know that I called you out because you directly quoted and stated (incorrectly), that I was wrong.
I’m not delicate about it, just hoping for accountability from everyone is all.

And I understand about disagreeing with the majority. I call out the odd bit of crap from both sides.

Twitter is going to cease exist within the next 12 months if it carries on as it is - the company's debt burden is mental and is directly tied to the Tesla stock price. Tesla is not performing well (surprise surprise), so once that diminishes enough then Twitter's debt burden will be too heavy to service. Advertisers are already long out of Twitter, more will follow and the whole thing will ramp down. The only reason it continues to survive at all and be used is because there is no good alternative, despite Zuckerberg's attempts to throw Threads into the world. Musk is a bigger threat to global democracy and peace then Trump is, but Trump's easier to beat.

On the "interview" between two of the most grotesque CJTC's on the face of the earth, I'm sure it will go about as well as the other Twitter live events. Guaranteed comedy. Tossers.
