The term ‘unproven’ is relative.
Tony had £20m+ bagged up for Levy to sign his Janssen lad who hadn’t done much more than Solanke. If Tony wanted this boy, he’d get him no matter what experience he’d had.
Anyone able to explain why he could sign for Palace on loan but cannot for Bournemouth as per the BBC site? Is it because Palace aren’t subject to the same rules as everyone else?

Can’t have two loanees from the same team in the Premier League, they have Clyne, so Solanke has to be purchased.
