If the PL is bought up by squillionaires then I’d rather we dropped a league and kept it real.

I wouldn’t want BHA to be some Saudi prince’s plaything.

Frankly if that ever happened I would end my support and association with the Albion after more than 45 years of supporting them. I could not possible endorse sportswashing infecting the Albion.

yep, Knight put in a lot more than he ever got out. Shame he was not given the opportunity of selling his few shares to the fans. He may have recouped some of his money, and we could all have a nice shiny share certificate hanging on the wall.

That got childish/intransigent on both sides. Knight got nothing out of it, but he did see his club saved.

Please don't take this as a criticism of TB, having watched Albion at the Goldstone before joining the Army and then watching them, and holding a season ticket for twenty years, since returning to Sussex in 2000 I can honestly say I have so much admiration for the guy and it's that sentiment that's driving this post.

TB is a wealthy guy, we all know, but at around £1.3bn it's, I think, about 1% of the value of the Saudi group?

Given that he's invested probably 25% of his wealth in The Albion he's at significant risk as more and more of these hyper rich groups enter the EPL.

So, will the premier league be completely bought up by more and more wealthy groups and syndicates making it noncompetitive for the "fan" owners and will they be cast into the EFL wilderness?

Because of this should he cash in some or all of his chips?

I think the premise is flawed. The risk is less now than when he built a Stadium, not knowing if it would be a League 1 stadium for a while, how many bums would be on seats, or if he could get others to invest in it (he couldn't as far as I am aware and so he stumped up all the cash).

But I will wager my left testicle on the fact there's no way Our Tony has invested a whopping 25% of his wealth in the Albion.

You don't get to be that wealthy by making the kind of decision I would make.

A country where flogging is still a punishment for criminal offences such as adultery, premarital sex and alcohol consumption, stoning to death and amputation are still legal punishments, apostasy is punishable by death, you are likely to get arrested if you report being raped, kissing in public is illegal as is homosexuality and the country is regarded as 'not free'.

When big events in our history like Amex and promotion to PL I have felt more pleased for Tony Bloom then anything else. In fact he is main reason I dont want us relegated. Certainly wouldnt feel like this if had non attending foreign owners

All very good points and i agree but I still think if DK hadn't rescued us someone would've (acknowledge I can't prove this).

Dunno how you think that. On many many occasions the club could easily have folded There were literally years of struggle to disposess Archer and his mates, play our games back in Brighton and fund the start of the evolution of the 'new' Albion. I suggest tyhat you get a copy of Dick Knight's book (not available from the club shop!) and read up the real story.
