There would've been, no way would we have folded, much smaller clubs than us have survived down the years.
There were no other takers to save the club in 1997, or subsidise the many years afterwards of relatively large annual accounting losses, before we got planning permission. Uniquely the club had no stadium, non-playing assets or could even play in its own county.
Knight, Pinnock and a whole load of other people (well known and those who shied away from publicity), dug deep and put in sums up to 7 figures each. They were not very wealthy men. TB was one of those contributing.
