It's not hard to understand, you got it wrong.

Will 87 points be enough? How many will be enough?

We want the amount required to be as few as possible.

The question you answered was 'how many points will we get?', which wasn't the question.

Very easy to understand. You are saying that you want as many as possible to be enough for auto. So you would prefer 93 to be enough for auto in preference to 89 being enough for auto? Why would you prefer that?

my answer was as many as possible, thats points, not people, not players, not fans,BUT POINTS
if you do not understand that then I give up

4 matches to go last season

Bournemouth 80
Norwich 79
Watford 79
Boro 78

Final table

Bournemouth 90
Watford 89
Norwich 86
Boro 85

So

Bournemouth got 3 wins and a draw from their last 4 = 10points
Watford got 3 wins and a draw from their last 4 = 10 points
Norwich got 2 wins, a draw and a loss = 7 points
Boro got 2 wins , a draw and a loss = 7 points

Looks like 10 points is the benchmark

I really think all this talk about points targets is a tad... distracting?

Surely, the aim should be simple: there are four games left to play, we have the ability to win them all, win them all and we get promoted.

Absolutely.

The big danger is that on Tuesday there will be so much collective focus on Burnley v Middlesbrough that we'll 'forget' to beat QPR.

Middlesbrough: Burnley (D), Ipswich (D), Birmingham (W), Brighton (?) 90
Burnley: Middlesbrough (D), Preston (D), QPR (W), Charlton (?) 88
Brighton: QPR (W), Charlton (D), Derby (W), Middlesbrough (?) 88

That's one wobble each.

Take each of the last games as it comes. 4 cup finals. Win them all and we are up, no point in worrying about targets. QPR will be a tougher game than people think.

it was in answer to the original question
DOES ANYONE STILL THINK 87 POINTS WILL BE ENOUGH FOR AUTO
my answer was AS MANY AS POSSIBLE ..........................whats hard to understand about that

Oh dear. Firstly, you're wrong. Everyone except you can probably see that. And that's ok, not everyone has to be the full shilling. It is slightly concerning that you don't even know your limitations though.

We're all talking about points, there's no need to add people, players or fans to the equation, that will only confuse you further.

The original question was "Does anyone still think 87 points will be enough for auto?". A succinct answer would be 'yes' or 'no'. A longer answer might be 'I think it will take more than 87 points, but I'd like it to be fewer'. A stupid answer would be 'as many as possible'.

It probably is best if you give up.

Yeah, but we're not the players are we. The players will be thinking about 3 points on Tuesday, and nothing else.
