It would be an honour to play the 1978 World Cup winners

youre such a fanny !

Don’t tell, but I’m actually delighted.
I’ve always thought the more home nations at tournaments the better.
Scotland is a beautiful country too.

Back in the 70’s the rivalry was passionate.... today less so. I doubt they will progress out of the group. It will be interesting and winnable when England play them.
It is all ok by me.

okby me as well. Did anybody notice Scotland displayed the poppy on the slieves where as England just took the bloody knee

I’ve decided well concede winning the group - you can win it once we’ve beaten you. Then you can have the hard route to the final (winner plays runner up in France, Portugal, Germany group - so that’s you lot out on penalties) whilst well have the easy route (assume Spain wins their group - so Sweden, Slovakia or Poland)

You forget, Croatia will beat England and win the group.

I'll stick a fiver on Scotland to beat England and be runners up.

I've never been more certain of a player missing than Mitrovic.

Firstly, I ALWAYS go mad when a team places a striker/regular penalty taker as the fifth penalty taker in a shootout. It smacks of the player wanting the glory. Ronadlo often puts himself fifth.....despite taking pens regularly. Put your best FIRST.

Anyway, it was set up for him to fail.

There is article on the BBC website entitled "Euro 2020: Scotland have qualified... but what happens now for national team?"

Baffling that they've made an entire article out of a question we all know the answer to, which of course is "they will be knocked out in the group stages and home before the postcards"

I didn't want them to no but it doesn't bother me that they have. It's not like they're a genuine threat...

Yes I know, famous last words....

On balance, I'm glad they made it. Adds a bit of spice.

Or a bit of Scotch Mist, if you will.

Considering 2 of our games are at Hampden the royal mail would have to be pretty sh!t for that to happen.

as you can probably tell from my username I'm of Scottish descent

these days I'm far more connected with my Scottish/Irish roots than my English ones so I'm very happy. Only have vague memories of 96 and 98 and can't believe how long it's taken

hopefully the cycle of constantly being 3rd or 4th seeds in qualifying groups can be broken
