If you had asked this a year ago, it would have been 'Of course'.

I'd still say yes, but there are aspects of this process that really stick in the craw. I hate seeing our Prime Minister and future king rushing around grovelling and toadying up to these crooks, much as I am appalled that they can set their own tax rates in the host country.

Just who the f**k do they think they are? They seem to be beyond justice, apart from the Swiss (and let's face it, that lot have been known to turn the odd blind eye where money is concerned).

So still yes for all the good reasons, but maybe we could arrest Blatter and Jack Warner on some trumped-up charge before the final and let them out afterwards.

Why the hell would you say no? I don't understand what can possibly be wrong with having the 2 greatest sporting events in the world in your home country within the space of 6 years.

Not really bothered. The whole process of wining the bid seems a little seedy, like we lose all sense of principle. We run off to play a silly friendly to keep jack warner happy, we agree to play a meaningless mid-season friendly in asia to curry favour with their voters, we give tax breaks to fifa, get told despite our bid having no legal or economic faults, it isn't being looked at favourably because the initial bid didn't have enough hotel rooms put aside for FIFA delegates. They seem essentially like all those MPs who took the piss with their expenses, and we are indulging them in an attempt to get the world cup, it just doesn't sit right with me.

Much as I love football it is now clear that FIFA has a level of corruption seeping through its veins that would put many a tin-pot dictatorship to shame...so, sadly I vote no as I would rather we had nothing to do with this tarnished gang of crooks and their organisation until the whole sorry bunch are gone and there could never be any doubt that some palms have been greased to secure nominations...not that I suspect for a moment that any have, but if you mix with crooks then fingers are likely to be pointed anyway.

According to Ladbrokes, we're now favourites at evens to host it. Of course, it would be great, but not sure it's worth compromising our dignity and self-respect by sucking up to the disgusting Blatter and his cohorts. If the Russians get it, we will know why.

Not sure if I want it or not. This really hinges on the fact that home advantage in a tournament does give a small boost to the teams chances of progression. However, I fear we will be shown up to be technicly deficient to the likes of Spain, Argentina etc again !

Latest word on the radio suggests that the British bid will make FIFA the most profit, if thats so, it's ours

Gully,Agree with your every word, the decision should rest on submissions not who we can send out to make the representatives think they are special, if we do win can we be sure that money has not been paid.
Amazing comment from Beckham today, I am sure all the reps can be trusted, has he not noted the huge amounts of cash that was paid in the past and the particular representatives are still members of FIFA

Not if they have to pander to FIFA. Admittedly, I've never been that into international football, but I don't think it would do our FA any good to go any further down the road that FIFA and a lot of big national FA's have gone down. I mean, I'd rather see Brighton play in League 1 for eternity than cheat our way to the top. I don't see why it should be any different on an international scale.

Meant yes, voted no. Never ever understood how anyone could make that mistake, until now.

Whoever says they dont care is talking gash coz they will do in 7 and 1/2 years time.

After recent revelations I think this country are waiting to launch into Fifa if we dont get it. Which is why we may do.
